I'm afraid I have to agree. I've gone increasingly black-pill on that topic, largely because I don't see any reasonable constellation in which the ship could still be turned around before reaching a demographic point of no return. In Germany, there is only one somewhat concievable political combination in which true changes could be enacted, and that one has only the tiniest of tiny chances of ever happening. Worse, given the consensus nature of German policy making, it'd also require the right-wing party coming up with demands that are outright diabolical just for them eventually arrive at a compromise with the center that actually has a chance to change the status quo.

And that's not even touching on the fact that it's not a singular issue that would need massive changes and course corrections. It's something that has metastasized, like a cancer, for decades. Which is why I can only offer sad smiles to those who go 'Oh, we'll elect a new government, and then we'll deport those illegals, and everything will be fine!'.

The sad reality is: you don't have the tools to do so, and you have resistance on every social and institutional level against all the measures that even carry a slight chance of putting things right. You'd have to enact massive reforms infringing on the current setup and rights of the federal and judicial structure. From county administrations to the foreign office, it would need a combined effort of, well, basically the whole nation, with somebody standing behind them with a whip to keep them on course.

And I'm jaded enough to see that Germany is no longer capable of such a feat. Hell, we can't even produce enough electricity anymore.
