Hiring foreigners into the army isn't a cause, but a symptom of the Roman decline. It's necessary to be able to tell the difference.
It is a symptom, but it helped further accelerate it as well. Especially once they started hiring ethnic groups wholesale, it meant that Rome lost its last chance for recovery.

Likewise, Eastern Roman Empire lost Anatonia twice - and both times it happened when they replaced Byzantine land-owning troops with foreign mercenaries. Native army simply has the form of resillience that foreign mercenary army lacks.

Immigrants have been fighting in the US army for over a century.
You're missing the point/context here.

Yes, immigrants have been in the US Army for a very long time, but it's the difference between your food having salt or sugar sprinkled on it with other ingredients and your food being mostly made of salt or sugar.

That US senator was talking about using illegal immigrants, the ones showing up en masse, to shore up the declining numbers of ordinary American recruits -- a new source of "fresh meat", as it were -- which'd result in a lot of the "tomorrow soldiers" of America's US Army, not just a few in comparison as it is now and in the past, being foreign-born.

I'm not even American, and even I can see how much of an exploitative and bad fucking idea that is, lol. I can also see the agenda here as clear as day, as can anyone else.
Well, more about loyalty, than control. Your military needs to be loyal to the country/populace of your nation, not just their paycheck, b/c circumstances can always arise where you could be out-bid.
This happened in Rome: Legions were more loyal to their generals and commanding officers (since they'd been "in the trenches with them", so-to-speak) than the actual government back in Rome, so if one decided to march back and put the current emperor and/or senators' heads on pikes, they'd follow him.

Outside of the 'king-making' periods of the Praetorians, a lot of Roman Emperors were crowned and deposed this way.

That sounds suspiciously similar to taking the worst aspects of Jannissaries and mercenaries, then seasoning with a hefty dash of ethnic/racial resentment.

American slave soldiers, no way /that/ can go wrong.

Have people utterly lost the capacity for rational thought and pattern recognition, or are they trying to cos-play Joker and watch the world burn?

Have people utterly lost the capacity for rational thought and pattern recognition,

Yes.

Not all people, obviously, but one of the defining traits of modern leftism, is that the Ordained Narrative is more real to them than anything in actual reality, and a willingness to do anything to either ignore the truth, or try to immediately force reality to conform to their fantasy if they can't quite manage that.

Post-modernism is one crazy drug.

Federal lands set aside for national preservation now up for migrant grabs

Say adiós to the conservation of American history, heritage, and culture—it was good while it lasted.

Reported by John Binder at Breitbart yesterday, Joe Biden has officially announced his opposition to congressional legislation that, if enacted, would prohibit the federal government from developing federal lands into tent cities and sprawling migrant camps. The statement released by Biden's office reads as such:

The Administration strongly opposes H.R. 5283, which would prohibit the use of Federal funds to provide temporary shelter to certain noncitizens, including migrants seeking asylum, on Federal lands falling under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service, the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, or the Forest Service. The Administration opposes this legislation because it would significantly restrict the ability of the Department of the Interior and the Department of Agriculture to make decisions regarding the appropriate uses of their lands and resources, even in emergency or other situations.
So much for Democrats' yammering and virtue signaling about the environment—migrants are notorious for their complete disregard of the landscape, and their impact is consequential. One need look no further than the rotting polyester sleeping bags and tents, or mounds of trash and plastic water bottles, littering the desertscape of Saguaro National Park; the fragile flora species trampled underfoot in Big Bend National Park; or the undergarments hung in the "rape trees" of Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

Much of "federal land" is, at least ostensibly, in federal control because these locales must be preserved for posterity's sake.

Places like Shenandoah, the Smokies, Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone, Joshua Tree, etc., have a natural beauty so unique, it's seen nowhere else in the world—they are environmental and ecological treasures, and the federal government agreed to keep them as such.

Places like Manassas, Breed's Hill, Pea Ridge, etc., are grounds soaked in American blood, where Americans gave their lives for causes like liberty and freedom from tyranny—they are historical and cultural treasures, and the federal government agreed to keep them as such.

These could all be gone to make way for third world dependents waiting for the next handout? Disgrace upon disgrace.

Also, what happened to the left's disdain for corralling a bunch of interlopers into a controlled area? Didn't they use the term "open air prisons" to describe such circumstances? Isn't that what they accused Israel of doing to the Arabs living in Gaza? How else would you describe tent shelters and facilities behind fencing and razor wire?

Or are these federal armies getting into position on federal lands?

Over 20 Million Immigrants Are Set To Vote In 2024

Next year's critical 2024 election is now 11 months away, and there are already concerns about fair voting.

According data released by a left-wing group, more than 23 million immigrants are going to vote.

"It's very true that the number of people, the millions that are coming across the border that are undocumented could absolutely be marshalled through the weaknesses in our existing system to vote" said Catherine Engelbrecht, president of True The Vote.

She also noted something else that is true.

"Not reflected in the 20 million, is the some 50 million estimates show of people that are coming across the border undocumented" Engelbrecht told KTRH, "And the way that they can find their way on to the voter rolls through the weaknesses of a system that's been eroding for decades."

Come next year, 1 out of every 10 voters in the 2024 election will be foreign born.

NYC Orders Voter Registration Forms For All Migrants

It's all about the elections.

Why are Democrats keeping the border open and flooding major cities with masses of invading illegal aliens? It's all about the elections.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) on Sunday accused New York City of trying to stack voter rolls by trying to illegally register migrants housed at a Staten Island shelter to cast ballots in the upcoming elections.
Malliotakis, joined by four other Staten Island Republicans, claimed a city contract with a nonprofit hired to run the shelter includes a stipulation that voter registration forms are to be distributed to asylum seekers staying there — which they called both unlawful and underhanded.
The contract, which Malliotakis said was obtained via a state Freedom of Information Law request, includes a stipulation that the nonprofit, in accordance with the New York City charter, "shall provide and distribute voter registration forms to all persons," with the forms to be made available in Spanish and Chinese.

Mayor Eric Adams claims that it's absurd and untrue, and forced on the city by DHS regulations, but New York City had previously passed a law allowing non-citizens to vote.

More than 800,000 noncitizens and "Dreamers" in New York City will have access to the ballot box — and could vote in municipal elections as early as next year — after Mayor Eric Adams allowed legislation to automatically become law Sunday.

A judge struck down that law, but never assume that the Undead Civic Voters Association and the Guy We Paid 5 Bucks to Cast a Ballot Committee are going to stop.

Keeping the borders open is about elections and political power.

Mayorkas Opens the Border Again, Now to Ecuadorians

Congress continues to do nothing to restrict the main tool enabling Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas's unlawful overreach: his abuse of the "humanitarian parole" authority to admit foreigners under a narrow exception in the Immigration and Nationality Act. The INA allows the president to admit selected foreigners who cannot obtain a visa but have a pressing need to enter the U.S., such as to receive medical treatment or take part in a court matter. Mayorkas has seized this authority as dynamite to blast open our national borders.

Earlier this year, Mayorkas used humanitarian parole as the pretext to invent immigration programs for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans (called "CHNV") that permit 30,000 "legal" monthly admissions from those countries. Under the sketchy CHNV rules that Mayorkas created by diktat, the parolees from these four countries can self-select themselves; basically the sole requirements are having a sponsor and not being on a U.S. watchlist.

Mayorkas's sleight of hand has also invented something he calls "Family Reunification Parole" (FRP), yet another scheme for speeding up the entry of those favored nationals he wants to let in now.

Under FRP, foreigners on the processing list for family-reunification immigrant visas (commonly called "chain migrants") are no longer required to await their legal turn to be interviewed, medically examined, and vetted in their home countries. FRP will now permit Ecuadorians, who will join the special club of Colombians, El Salvadorans, Guatemalans, and Hondurans (plus Haitians and Cubans, who are covered by both programs) to simply ignore the waiting times required by American law and come directly into the U.S. as "parolees."

Mayorkas's improvisation again throws out the INA's worldwide immigrant quota and vetting system, which in many cases would require these foreigners to wait years for their lawful chance to be processed as visa applicants. The fact that they are facing waiting periods, as is the case with some 4 million would-be chain migrants around the globe, does not mean the INA is treating them "unfairly," nor is it a "broken" immigration system. Confronted by millions who want to come here, the law is working exactly as it was designed, restricting the number of immigrants each year to the quotas Congress approved.

Yet the current system, which is already overly generous in admitting annually more than a million legal immigrants, is not good enough for the Biden administration. In its announcement on Ecuadorians, DHS posted this paragraph:

The Family Reunification Parole process promotes family unity consistent with our laws and our values," said Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas. "Establishing this process for certain Ecuadorian nationals will ensure more families can access lawful pathways rather than placing themselves at the mercy of smugglers to make the dangerous journey. Those who do not avail themselves of family reunification parole or other lawful, safe, and orderly pathways and attempt to enter the United States unlawfully will continue to face tough consequences.
Note that the announcement does not even threaten those Ecuadorians who "refuse to avail themselves of FRP" with deportation. When Mayorkas makes reference to "our values," he is blatantly ignoring that those values are already clearly anchored in existing U.S. law. It is in fact fundamentally un-American to replace the rule of law by diktat; it is an incredible power grab and a national outrage even by modern Washington standards.

In favoring certain nationalities, Mayorkas is ignoring INA language that directly forbids it. The law asserts: "… no person shall receive any preference or priority or be discriminated against in the issuance of an immigrant visa because of the person's race, sex, nationality, place of birth, or place of residence" (emphasis added) §1152(a)(1)(A).

While the parolees are technically entering the U.S. without a visa, they are still being clearly favored in immigration because of who they are and where they come from. By any fair reading of the law, this action is a direct violation of the non-favoritism standard established in the INA.

What is going on with the DHS General Counsel's office? Is there a DHS Inspector General's investigation underway on Mayorkas's abuses? Most importantly, was this unlawful conduct not worthy of a House impeachment vote against Mayorkas?

Reckless with his unchecked power, Mayorkas is likely to announce next that Ecuadorians already illegally in the United States will be granted "Temporary Protected Status." TPS was first enacted by a gullible Congress as a measure to allow foreign nationals to remain in the U.S. if their country was beset by armed conflict or national catastrophe. Democrat administrations have wildly stretched TPS into a backdoor to allow illegal migrants to remain indefinitely in the United States.

As with parole, Congress desperately needs to take back this abused TPS authority, which currently allows nationals from 16 countries, most with dubious claims of being in crisis, to remain in the United States. Despite a history of Democrat presidents expanding this backdoor open-border measure, Ecuador, so far, has been denied TPS. Even the Barack Obama administration refused in 2016 to cave to Ecuadorian pressure for TPS.

Of course, the government of Ecuador continues to lobby for its illegals to stay in the U.S., and it is probably only a matter of time before President Biden, urged on by Antony Blinken's State Department, placates Quito by granting TPS.

Here is the classic example of Mayorkas enabling migrants from another continent to enter the U.S.: not because they are fleeing tyranny, but because they are seeking to better their economic circumstances. Ecuador is not a dictatorship, but simply a corrupt country with high crime rates that struggles economically. It is not unlike scores of other countries on the planet.

Illegal Ecuadorian migrants continue to come, and very few are deported. In the past year, American border authorities encountered some 100,000 trying to cross the southern frontier from Mexico. There are now over 480,000 Ecuadorians in the U.S., with at least half of those illegally present. It is estimated that the Ecuadorian diaspora, since arriving in the U.S., has birthed another 270,000 children, who are now dual nationals. They are already organizing politically. As one Ecuadorian who was caught explained, "It is my dream to enter the United States to improve my work situation, because in Ecuador there are no such opportunities or jobs. The government does nothing. That is not the case with the open-border Biden administration. "Ali" Mayorkas is riding to the rescue of all would-be economic migrants, hundreds of millions of whom are clamoring to come to the U.S.

Congress must stop him.

Gov Abbott Gives Texas Border Officers Power to Arrest Illegal Aliens

Republican Governor Greg Abbott has announced new powers for Texas border officers as part of his sweeping new measures for cracking down on illegal aliens entering the state.

Abbott's new measures aimed at keeping illegal migrants out of the United States as the crisis at the border continues to escalate.

The governor is taking action as thousands of illegal aliens have unlawfully crossed the border through his state under Democrat President Joe Biden's administration.

On Sunday, Abbott announced that state officers will soon be given new powers to arrest and detain illegal aliens.

Abbott said he believes the move will help to curb the mass numbers of migrants entering the U.S. through the Southern Border.

"Well, I'll tell you a couple of things very interesting," Abbott told FOX News Channels' Sunday Morning Futures with host Maria Bartiromo.

"For one, the problem is extraordinarily bad.

"The numbers are high, and that is because Joe Biden continues to lay out the welcome mat, welcoming illegal immigrants into the United States of America."

The governor's announcement comes in response to several lawsuits brought against Texas by the Biden Administration.

The Biden admin has been battling to keep the border open.

"That said, what we've seen in our numbers in the state of Texas is because of the wall that we have built, because of these razor-wide barriers that we have built, Texas is now no longer the number one illegal entry point," Abbott said.

"It is the Tucson sector, the San Diego sector, and other states.

"And Texas is causing the cartels to have to alter their routes, their routes where people are coming across the border illegally…

"Texas is having to step up and do even more to make sure that we deny illegal entry into the state of Texas."

In two weeks, Abbott intends to sign the new law that will make it illegal for migrants to enter Texas from another country illegally.

At the same time, he is granting permission to every peace officer in the state to arrest them.

Abbott is also raising the alarm about the dangers of Biden's open border policies.

The governor warns that Biden's policies pose an "existential threat" to the nation.

Currently, foreign nationals from all around the world are illegally crossing the border, including from enemy states such as China or Iran.

"We have people from China coming here," the governor pointed out.

"We also have people on the known terrorist watch list who are coming across the border."

Abbott called out Biden for allowing the U.S. to succumb to potential threats.

He added that he feels it is his responsibility to apprehend as many of these people as possible.

According to Border Patrol data, the Del Rio border sector, where Eagle Pass is, has recorded 317,866 migrant encounters this year.

The Rio Grande Valley Sector has seen a 200 percent increase since August in illegal migrant surges.

In the last year, over 2,378,944 illegal migrants, the highest record ever, have entered the country at the hands of Biden's "woke" policies.

Irish cops can RAID homes and confiscate devices for 'hate speech'

A result of the new hate speech law that was just passed in response to the riots.
Said ‘hate speech’ probably was ‘I’m against the Irish people getting replaced in their own nation’.

Oh and the Irish government and the PM are asking people to stop noticing things and not to link the rise in crime with the rise in mass migration. Which is absolutely and statistically is.

Hey, ‘muh thin blue line’ people. This is what will happen to you too!

Edit: some information errors needed to be fixed.

Irish leftists blame violence against women on misogyny to hide the real cause: Open borders

Ireland's rate of deadly violence against women could fall dramatically through sensible migration policy and other basic programs.

A 2022 report by RealClearPolitics confirmed what many Europeans had long suspected but could not prove because of data obfuscation by individual governments: Europe has a massive immigrant violent crime problem.

The 10-year data study showed that across the EU, "each one percentage point increase in immigrant population is associated with a 3.6 percent increase in the homicide rate." In Germany, where police and politicians fiercely guard immigrant crime statistics, an academic study found that asylum applicants were responsible for a massive 10.4 percent rise in violent crime in Lower Saxony alone in 2015 and 2016, an apparent effect of Angela Merkel's 2015 open-doors migration policy. It is a familiar pattern across Western Europe's industrial hubs. In the first half of 2022, foreign nationals committed 70 percent of the violent robberies in Paris. Another academic study in Sweden found that in 2017, immigrants accounted for 73 percent of all cases of manslaughter, murder, and attempted murder.

To the residents of Ireland, however, the human carnage unfolding on the continent had been abstract. Traditionally protected from the dangers of mass unvetted migration due to being an economic backwater, the spectacular economic boom of the '90s and early '00s spurred a massive influx of migrants to such a degree that now more than 20 percent of the Irish population is foreign-born. In 2022, Ireland had its reckoning with migrant crime. Predictably, the government attempted to cover it up.

A Brutal Murder

On the afternoon of Jan. 12, 2022, Ashling Murphy, a talented musician and teacher, was set upon and murdered in brutal fashion. The 23-year-old was stabbed 11 times in the neck while walking along the bank of the Grand Canal in Tullamore, County Offaly. The savage nature of the attack and the fact that it occurred in broad daylight sent shockwaves through the country.

Three days after the murder, The Irish Times printed a piece quoting "an epidemic of femicide" and "a culture of misogyny" in Ireland. Similarly, The Guardian asked if Murphy's murder would change Ireland's "culture of misogyny." National soul-searching had begun, and the narrative that emerged was that Ireland's men were to blame.

Dozens of vigils were held across the nation, promoted by the Women's Council of Ireland (NWC). Speaking to a crowd of thousands outside of government buildings in Dublin, the head of the council, Orla O'Connor, stated, "The death of Ashling Murphy must be a watershed moment to end violence against women." Helen McEntee, Ireland's minister for justice, tweeted, "I am working to ensure we have a society that does not tolerate this any longer."

In an official statement, Prime Minister Micheal Martin said:
"We have spent much of the past week ... questioning our attitudes towards women. Are we doing anything to help? Are we doing enough to help? Are we part of the problem?"
Irish men hung their heads in shame as the magnitude and ferocity of their misogyny was hammered home.

But then the narrative hit a speed bump. On Jan. 18, Jozef Puska, an immigrant from Slovakia, was arrested. It would later emerge that Puska was a convicted sex offender in his native country. He had further reportedly been a person of interest in two assaults, one in Prague shortly before moving to Ireland and one in England while living in Ireland. The narrative of misogynistic Irish men should have died on the day of Puska's arrest. It didn't.

Blaming Misogyny

In June 2022, Justice Minister McEntee announced a five-year strategy that would update "school curricula to include consent, coercive control, domestic violence and safe use of the internet." The move was deeply cynical as it was McEntee's own party that had allowed Puska, the convicted sex offender, to enter the country 10 years earlier. Rather than acknowledge those failings, she deflected blame for Murphy's murder onto the boys and men of Ireland.

The last part of her initiative, "safe use of the internet," is particularly important as McEntee is the minister behind the draconian Criminal Justice Bill, or "hate speech bill," which recently caused an international storm after Donald Trump Jr. called it "insane" and Elon Musk promised legal action to halt it. Not only did McEntee use the murder of Murphy to deflect from government failings on mass migration, but she also used it to sell her highly unpopular "hate speech" laws.

On the one-year anniversary of Murphy's murder, the Irish Examiner published a lengthy piece shaming the men of Ireland. The paper quoted Orla O'Connor, who resoundingly supported McEntee's strategy:
"[W]e must also tackle the root cause of this epidemic. ... We must educate our children about the misogyny that underlies male violence against women. There is a gap left by our education system."
It didn't matter that Puska wasn't a product of Irish society or the Irish education system.

The 'Femicide' Narrative

The same article pointed out that 2022 had been the worst year for violence against women and ultimately femicide in Ireland in a decade, with 12 women dead as a result. However, the data does not support claims that there is a femicide epidemic in Ireland, much less the idea that indoctrination of the nation's boys is the cure.

Of the 12 women murdered in Ireland in 2022, five were killed by nonintegrated immigrants. Jozef Puska murdered Ashling Murphy. Romanian Andrei Dobra is awaiting trial for the murder of his fiance, Ioana Mihaela. Romanian Daniel Blanaru is awaiting trial for the murder of his partner, Larisa Serban. German Guenter Lohse is awaiting trial for the murder of his elderly mother, Ruth. Brazilian Miller Pacheco is awaiting trial for the murder of his former partner, Bruna Fonseca. All of the alleged killers needed translators throughout their court appearances. These women's deaths are apparently the direct result of failed, open-border migration policies.

The nationality of the person who assaulted Louise Muckell, which likely caused her death, hasn't been made public yet. Muckell herself killed a father of two in 1996 in a drunk-driving incident, and police are investigating a circle of her friends described as having "serious alcohol dependency issues." Mary Bergin was allegedly murdered by her daughter, though journalists and activists leave out this detail when including her in the "femicide epidemic" in Ireland.

None of these seven women were murdered by misogynistic Irish men.

Other Causes

Of the remaining five female victims, Lisa Cash, Miriam Burns, and Sandra Boyd were allegedly killed by family members. Lisa Cash, 18, and her twin brother and sister, 8, were allegedly killed by their older brother. The Irish Examiner article cynically included Lisa in its femicide list because she was 18 and legally a woman, removing the fact that there was apparently no sex-based motivation. Similarly, including the accidental shooting of Sandra Boyd by her brother is misleading when used to prop up a narrative that there is a plague of intentional misogynistic murders of women in Ireland.

Like Bergin, the Burns murder was also allegedly by a family member, which would make both of those deaths parricide, meaning the murder of a parent by her child. These murders usually take place after a lifetime of family conflict. Including these family killings in an emergency "femicide epidemic" is again misleading.

Of the remaining two murders, Lisa Thompson's death, like Louise Muckell's, was apparently substance abuse-related. A man and a woman, alleged drug dealers, have been arrested as part of the murder inquiry, and both were known to the victim, a suspected drug addict, whose apartment was allegedly being used for the duo's drug storage. Thompson and Muckell were likely not targeted for their sex but because of their tragic lifestyle choices.

This leaves one murder of a woman in Ireland in 2022 that was allegedly committed by an unrelated Irish male. Sean Egan is currently awaiting trial for the murder of Sharon Crean. One woman's alleged murder by an Irish male is extremely low for a country of 5 million people.

Close the Border

There is clearly no "epidemic of femicide" native to the Irish,
and this is backed up by international data. Ireland consistently ranks among the lowest for violence against women in the EU. There is, however, a problem with open borders in Ireland. Almost half of the women murdered in Ireland in 2022 would still be alive if their killers had not been allowed into the country.

Politicians such as Helen McEntee and Micheal Martin coopted the death of Ashling Murphy to cover for their disastrous migration policies. With the help of the Irish press and activists like Orla O'Connor, they gaslit a nation into believing women were in mortal danger from native Irish men. They used this fear to push through radical feminist school curriculum reform and to sell their war on free speech.

The reality is that Ireland's rate of deadly violence against women could be slashed by up to half through sensible migration policy and even further by mental health and substance abuse programs. The government does not wish to undertake these achievable goals because that would require them to acknowledge their role in the deaths of these women. It's much easier to preach on the corpses of innocent victims and shame the men of Ireland.

No new developments that I am aware of, but the article does give more details about why this is happening in Ireland.

Count Dankula also did a video on the article!

Its also not nessary, really all they have to do is stop treating military personal like dog shit.

Seriously just put in a bill of rights for our fighting men, cut down on the micky mouse bullshit and treat them with basic respect and your done.
Yes,it would be logical approach,USA deep state could even still hold powere in such scenario. If they were smart.

But,if Aztecs were smarts, they would not invade their neighbours still letting them keeping their weapons,if Hitler was smart he would simply gave kolchoz lands to soviets people....

History is full of tyrants who decided not only to take power, but also be dicks. And,since many still succed....
Why not follow their example?

You need to use brain to be smart tyrant, and why bother if you could just be dick and still win ?

Ireland's Minister for Justice turns into a STUTTERING MESS when asked to define the "far-right"

I’d have more respect for her if she was honest and just admitted that ‘far-right’ means anyone who disagrees with her.

She got close when she claimed that being anti-government is ‘far-right’. Which is a mask slip moment.

She’s one of the biggest pro mass migration groups and I believe she also claimed that Ireland has historically benefited from ‘white privilege’ and the usual nonsense. Which is rage-inducing for anyone with Irish blood or who has any knowledge of Irish history.

Edit: corrected ‘fear-right’ to ‘far-right’ though it is an amusingly accurate error to fix. As ‘far-right’ these days has just become a smear word for ‘people the establishment wants you to fear’.
