This is a discussion thread for other people on the dissident right about the historic protest taking place in Washington DC today. If you aren't aware, the protest in Washington of hundreds of thousands of Patriots entered the Capital Building, stopping the electoral votes from being counted. Despite biased coverage, from what I've seen the protests have remained Mostly Peaceful, with scattered relatively tame street-fighting with democratic DC police being the only violence by protestors.
As someone who's broadly speaking part of the Dissident Right, I think that these have been an enormously positive development. Entering the Capital Building and stopping the count of the electoral vote from occurring today is beyond what I'd thought the best possible outcome would be ahead of today. I'm disappointed, but not surprised, by Trump's behavior. A leader should lead from the front. However, nationalism and dissident right-wing politics has always been about more than just Donald Trump. It's about taking our country back from the globalists and DC elites that have gotten rich by draining us dry, and breaking the system they've subverted. This is an incredibly important step forward in that fight. There's some reporting that Mike Pence was the one to authorize the deployment of the national guard. Although as far as I'm aware if it was him or if it was ultimately cleared by Trump is as yet unclear. If it was Trump, I'd view that as basically stabbing his supporters in the back, which would be unforgiveable. But if not, I think we're all aware the man had limitations in perspective.
In my opinion, this has been the most encouraging thing since the 2016 election.
On a more tragic note, at least from what I've read a protestor may have been shot. If that's true, I hope everyone here will keep him or her in their prayers, as well as every other patriot protesting in DC today. If you know of any medical or legal funds for the protestors, please let me know, and I'll edit this post to include them.
