Middle East News Thread

So, a war is brewing over there and the sides are being Drawn now. Goal is to outnumber Iran. Though Isreal would have the backing of the UN would they not?

I would definitely not count on the UN, no. That organization is corrupt beyond belief, and there are plenty of countries sympathetic to Iran on there. But yes, the goal is to stand united against Iran so Israel, the Gulf countries and Saudia can't be defeated in detail, and to coordinate their own responses against Iran.

The whole conflict in the Middle East is fascinating really, it's a giant chess game and Game of Thrones IRL.

More on Iranian proxies involved in virtually every conflict currently raging in the Middle East: These are Iran’s proxies in the Middle East

Much of Iran's chess moves were controlled by General Sulimani. You have no idea how easier life for Israelis and Saudis gets after Trump's America killed that bastard.

So counting on the US then. Most likely the only War Trump would get invovled and that would to defend our allies in Isreal

I know much of the US public is averse to getting involved in another Middle Eastern war. I think if the US had our backs diplomatically, and continued to sell us the weapons and other supplies we need for the conflict, that would be enough. If the US wants to throw in an air, drone or cruise missile strike here and there, that would be a nice bonus. I don't think Israel or the Saudis are counting on US boots on the ground. Contrary to what some political extremists delude themselves into thinking, America has never fought Israel's wars for it, not once, and I don't see why it would start doing so now.

Point. We have always supplied you woth plenty though. Like our Super Shermans

Yep. Operation Nickel Grass is the best example.
You know we will supply you as long as we have someone who cares enough NOT to let Iran build nukes.

So if Biden wins you may be in the Blackfoot and those deals fail. If Trump wins, you will be more then ready with US weapons to support any war that Iran tries to start

Thinking about it I agree with you too. US boots on the ground in the middle east was due to the Neocons. They wanted to get rid of Saddam.

Afghanistan was thanks to 9/11. Everything else in the middle east was just the way superpowers and proxies/allies interact.

Defending Isreal would be pretty popular if Isreal was put on the back foot and losing.

Well, if Israel was actually invaded and Iranian tanks (or their proxies) were rolling down Israeli streets, murdering everything that moved, and the IDF were powerless to stop it... Yes, I would have appreciated if the US or anyone else could swoop in to stop Holocaust MK II.

Oh, it would be like the riders of Rohan in the third movie. We come riding down except with A LOT more firepower

History was not kind to you and given all the shit thrown your way I don't expect it to stop anytime soon for future additions to your Tisha B'Av.

Operation Wrath of God makes a whole lot of sense when your citizens get killed by foreigners who want to kill you Israelis and your kin.

It doesn't, because they were not supplied by USA. Hell, USA opposed arming of Israel back then.
If it is american made it technically counts.
Because if makes people beikive we did.

The point is we eventually supplied them
