Not much explanation needed. Pelosi and her staff have confirmed the veracity of the video footage that was given to Fox news by the owner of the salon.

Contrary to Pelosi's attempted deflection about "a set up", the salon owner actually had nothing to do with this aside from installing a security camera 5 years ago. That salon has been closed for the last six months (likely contributing to the owner's ire). The appointment and service where both performed by an independent stylist who rented access to the Salon facilities.

Pelosi's reputation for lecturing about lockdowns, masks, and "taking Covid seriously" have only added fuel to this controversy. Joe Biden has yet to comment on the incident.
 
I would first like to express how little I care about whether or not she wore a mask. It's a giant nothing burger to me. I don't wear a mask when I'm getting my hair done either.

It IS funny though, to watch people spin it to try to excuse it, when they've been absolute dumpsters of human beings towards so many other people over the masks.

Yup. That is *exactly* why I'm enjoying this. Well, I do wear a mask and I have OCD to begin with but still.

Smart people do stupid shit. I distinctly remember Obama getting shit about giving a somber impromptu press conference at a golf course over someone being executed by ISIS, and then getting caught on camera chucking a few minutes later as he tees up his shot. Even he admitted it was horrible optics, and it went away because it *was* a minor issue and he owned up to being dumb about it.

Pelosi, on the other hand, is doubling down on the "doing stupid shit" part and it may not bite her in the ass personally, but it's comedic and political gold for the GOP.
 
If she just apologized and took responsibility itd be over.

Instead she's blaming the hair salon which would give any press worth it's salt enough ammunition to pursue the story.

Did she contact the Salon?
Did the salon contact her?
Was she informed of the current rules regarding the salon?
Was the salon in conspiracy with others for this alleged setup?
How long have you been attending this salon?
Was there any signage or contact regarding the salons policies?
Have you used this or any other salon for similar services since the lockdown?

Anything but a responsibility accepting apology gives the story more traction.

Seconding this seriously just saying "I was stupid and I'm sorry." and this would be over.

Most people don't care about getting a hair cut they care about the hipocracy and the general douchiness.

the riots are going to hurt the democrats, the looting will too, but I think the thing that might be the death blow are armies of middle aged women who just want their lives back.

They probably want to have families, but they probably can’t bear children in their age and they may still be too unpleasant to even have a romantic relationship

They MIGHT be able to adopt

Other than that, I think they want GENUINE NON-FRAGILE friendships

And to enjoy a hobby they ACTUALLY enjoy, rather than force themselves into and proceed to force changes on
