Part of the issue is that it isn't hereditary. The Kennedys, Bush's etc are all from the last century or so, not from the Civil or Revolutionary wars. Get rid of one family and another will pop up a few years later. This kind of nepotism is an easily exploited loophole in the system. A similar case that no one complains about is the Paul family (Ron and Rand). Since elections are based on popular support and campaign contributions, connections and name matter. A father can bring his connections to bear for his son.Well your not wrong. Question is, if it’s good or not. If it’s not, how do we fix it?
If you wanted to get around that, do what they propose doing to prevent racial and ethnic discrimination, select candidates with names and pictures removed. You get a list of issues and their positions and have to vote based on that, no campaigning, financing, no connections, just party issues.
