Breaking News Robert F Kennedy Jr. is considering a 2024 POTUS Run To Challenge Biden

Tbh, that whole family is as shady as shit, in bed with the Deep State/Swamp to the point where they may be help running the whole fucking thing, and I wouldn't trust them with a pet rock.

Want to know something more disturbing? Look up Rosemary Kennedy. They lobotomized a vibrant, bright young woman intro a drooling, incontinent vegetable at 23 years old because "her violent outbursts and erratic mood swings would embarrass the family" (basically not being a submissive doormat as was expected back then, and writing off her depression at being ignored as "mental retardation").

They didn't even visit her for decades because of the shame/guilt and keeping hidden away.

So, yeah. I'm not American, so my opinion doesn't mean shit, but fuck that family. The descendants not involved with politics may be okay, but the ones who are? Slimier and stinkier than Armus.

So RFK Jr. is now responsible for his grandfather's misdeeds?

Do you have complaints about the man himself, or his politics, rather than one of his forebearers?

The anti evidentiary approach RFK has taken over the years in medicine does not strike me as a good approach to steer U.S. policy, for a start.

He seems to have done good work in the environmental space pushing for government accountability though. I'd worry that we don't really have a record of what he'd do in the hot seat, do we?

Given other choices, maybe that would make him a better candidate for the Democrats though.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I would really hope for a more compelling, or at least representative of a wider group of interests candidate.

Not at the man himself, no. But his entire family? Yeah.

Call it a stereotype if you want, but his family has done shady shit both politically and in their personal lives, and he's grown up in the same shitty soil as his shady political relatives. They're as deep in the Swamp as you can get.

So, unless he's going to break the mold and be the White Sheep? Yeah.

If I were American, I'd trust him as much as Homer Simpson with a nuclear meltdown button.

that isn't fair, Homer Simpson has a much better record in preventing disasters then the kennedys do.

Uh, JFK tried to fix the Swamp and was going against what the CIA wanted, but ended up dead (funny that), while a brother who was the favored son of JFK and RFK's dad blew up in a B-17 drone used as an early cruise missile in WW2, and it was the father, not the brothers, who did that to the daughter.

JFK also got the ball rolling on getting us to the Moon, and frankly was pretty good for race relations too.

Press X to Doubt, to quote a meme.

Sorry, but unless I see otherwise if he ever runs and wins President, I'll remain skeptical about him and his family.

I consider him a no-hope candidate, but why the hell not, he's going to be too old to throw his hat in the ring pretty soon anyway even by today's standards. (Will be 71 by Inauguration Day, and 75 by the next one. To be fair, that's younger in 2029 than Trump will be in 2025 and younger than Biden was in 2021, but still fucking old. Reagan was closing in on 70 when he took office.)

I like how it shows lack of confidence in the incumbant president who is presumed to run for a second term, he wouldn't be running without some Dem machine support.

On the other hand I abhor political families in US politics.

Well, RFK Jr. has officially filed the paper work to run for POTUS in 2024 as a Dem.

If your biden....this is a big ouch.

So now the democrats are going to have a contested primary and because of the charges its likely the party is going to rally around trump out of fear and terror of being next.

The democrats still have the media, and are the establishment party but this just got a lot harder for them.

Id like to note the last time a kennedy turned on a president it was carter.

And the division led to Reagan taking power.

He's almost certainly better than Biden but I will never vote for a Democrat.

Their party platform is utterly opposed to what I consider good and completely aligned with what I consider evil.
I certainly won't vote for him, but I'd be less worried about the nation if he won.

It's basically shitty and dangerous vs utterly incompetent and already causing irreparable damage.
