Suggestions Rule for Long Video Summaries?

I've seen a few people post long videos to highlight news, or to bring attention to an issue/news/a trend, without much context (as the video itself explains everything); however, due to the lengths involved, not everyone has the patience nor inclination to watch a 15+ minute video.

Could we make it a rule that if someone posts such a video, they also have to post a tl;dr summary?

E.g.

[YouTube Video, 54:65]

tl;dr: Captain Marvel 2 is going to be a cataclysm for Disney, and they're already looking for damage-control; Disney stock prices are still sinking; Hillary Clinton revealed herself as a Lizard Woman on live TV, et cetera.

Even if you make that a rule, it'd be hard to enforce. Most forum rules are enforced by the site itself, but in this case you would be relying on people hitting the "report" button, which most are loathe to do.

Does there really have to be a rule? Personally I like bitching about it when it happens. :p
People will either bitch about there not being a summary for like an hour long video, will just ask anyway for a tl;dr, or won't even bother replying/engaging with the video because it's understandable they wouldn't want to watch an hours long video.

Reporting such posts or not, it's mainly just common courtesy/politeness.

Less rules is better rules. People should post summaries of what a video is about but it shouldn't be mandated.

It's unfortunate but sadly some people are incapable of sharing their opinion or engaging in discussion beyond posting videos. :(

Forcing the issue would be discriminatory against 'tards and the like.

Okay, maybe not an enforceable rule, but just a bit of common courtesy?

Humor aside, here is a 100% FOSS, ad free YouTube player that lete you listen to clips in the background at 3x the speed.

For those on windows or linux that don't want to use Android emulation/vietualization, you can just use:
Has background audio only play, but just 2x.

ZOMG there are a bunch of alternate frontends for YT that let you listen to stuff at 3x and above speed.

Stop boomering and use a simple readme to clone that shit and run it locally or just utilize the droid app that you can get via f-Droid or direct apk download!

it would be nice to make this a rule considering how dickish these people can be when asked for a summary, it also forces them to actually watch the video and not just spam them.
I don't watch them as much as listen to them at 3x speed while jogging, buying groceries or playing some game.

The purpose of the Hate News thread is to hate watch all of the videos constantly posted in the thread though.

Ironic its called the "Five Minutes" of Hate News thread. That would've implied it's purpose was posting something other then hour long videos every other post.
