Jussie Smollett indicted on 6 counts for allegedly lying to police about attack claims

Jussie Smollett has been indicted by a grand jury on six counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly lying to police about his claims of a racist and homophobic attack against him in January 2019, a special prosecutor said Tuesday.

There was some complaining that 'Blacks are homophobic' going on right after, because of people not commenting on it enough, so I don't think that's all fiction.

He was just too complacent and arrogant; he never realized that there was a limit to how much the system could be rigged in his favor, and stressed it to the breaking point.

Jeopardy "attaches" when the jury is impanelled, the first witness is sworn, or a plea is accepted.

I'm not sure if Smollett's plea deal was ever accepted.

Double Jeopardy applies to being tried in court, which never happened here. The charges were just dropped for no adequately explained reason, but under most circumstances the police can just charge you again if there isn't a court case.

I knew he was lying when I first heard about this for one simple reason and it had nothing to do with any of the fake MAGA crap.

I once lived in Chicago years ago. When a Polar Vortex comes in you have both high winds and cold that is 20 to 40 below zero. Ain't no way in hell anyone could recognize him because if you aren't wearing your whole locker worth of clothing and a ski mask, scarf and knit cap. Your ass WILL freeze to death in short order.
