A. Yes, that’s plunging fire. You rarely use it and not remotely in the same way as they were doing. You actually have the weapon mounted for that and even then it’s generally pretty useless. This was just firing their guns in the air wasting ammunition while too afraid to stick their heads up and use their guns in an actually effective manor.
B. AK is not the same round lol. It’s 7.62x39mm Soviet not 7.62x51mm NATO. There is a massive difference between the two, namely way more power behind the NATO round. You seriously thought America and the Soviets decided to use the same interchangeable ammunition during the Cold War?

Welp this conflict has if anything else proven that the US military's plans to improve the mobile air defenses of our ground forces is a bloody good idea.

Weight of the round is not the same, 7,62*39 are lighter, it's the 7,62*54 (used in PK and SVD) that has roughly the same weight of the bullet as 7,62*51.
that’s not true either. You can use plunging fire with a saw as well. The round isn’t too light, all you need is gravity effectively. But what you also need for it is to see the target.

I thought they were reacting to a very small drone providing spotting for the indirect by trying to shoot it down by firing into the air. You can see a lot of video of guys responding to an audible buzzing in the air by firing guns into the air in this conflict.
I did not know that. I guess we do not use it a lot as a viable option. As I was only told we could do it with M240

Looks like the fighting is more fierce than it was thought to be.
The Azeris seem to be getting small gains in ground in exchange for lots of blood. Their own, Artsakh and the Armenians.

WTF is wrong with these guys? There's got to be a spectrum analyzer in the country. If not, look on EBAY. They should be able to pick up the control freq for the drone, bring up a hefty transmitter, a gen set and an end fired yagi and blast the hell out of it with something close. Even if its not the right freq you can overload the front end of their radio with enough power so that it can't respond to commands. It will transmit and receive with similar antennas so you can work it until you own it.

Azerbaijan has spent more money on one order of drones from Israel, about five billion dollars for 150 drones including 50 Harop Loitering Munition Drones, then Armenia has spent on it's entire military (4.8 billion dollars) for the past eight years.

I know but the question now comes to whether they're able to afford it if judging from the videos of the ambush more of their side is dying instead of the Armenians.
This is what fucked Pakistan over when they had good prosperity but lost east Pakistan and considerable manpower and treasure over Kashmir and east Pakistan.
According to the Russian Newspaper Kommersant Turkey and Azerbaijan have been preparing for this cinflict for months.

600 Turkish advisors are estimated to be operating in Azerbaijan and directly prior to the conflict brought 18 BMPs, one multiple launch rocket system, and up to 34 aircraft (including 6 aircraft, 8 helicopters, up to 20 drones).
Since the conflict begsn there have been numerous supply runs from Turkey to Azerbaijan via Georgian airspace. These flights have continued through the "cease fire."
Also they claim roughly 1300 Syrian and 150 Libyan militants have been deployed there, some under the aegis of Sadat, a Turkish PMC. Allegedly they are promised a pay of $1500-2000 dollars a month to serve three to six months in the Transcaucus Conflict.
Before the cease fire another brigade of 1500-2000 Syrian militants was preparing to be deployed to the region as well.
