Yeah, we all have our anecdotes. But when it comes to hard evidence, California had both Nixon and Reagan as governors. Later it had a moderate Republican governor - Arnold.
Would there be even a tiny chance of even a RINO winning California now? Texas is turning purple, not in the upcoming election but likely in 2028 it will a swing state.
I’m not saying that Hispanics becoming conservative is impossible, but it’s a lie that the GOP has been burned on for 40 years. We should at least be a bit skeptical of such claims.
The hispanic community becoming conservative is a generational thing. The first person to sneak over the boarder loves the dems because every one else pays the conquences for them being here illegally. The second generation the one born here doesn't want to lose their parents the third generation is the one who can barely speak spanish. They have problems finding a place to live because of liberal policies and have to compete with illegal labor for what few jobs are available.
Their the ones who have to deal with the conquences, thus they become more conservative, but you barely see the results of this because of the unending flood of illegal entries.
However people having less kids? Thats a global thing, happening even in the 3rd world. So that flood of illegal labor ends in roughly 2050s, this is around the time when a lot of people are predicting the populist movement to have finally hit critical steam where the left wing establishment can no longer cheat their way to power.
This is when I think the mask will come off and the left will give up on even the semblance of democracy and rule by force and extreme tyranny.
