Anime & Manga Western Localization Problems

So Diskotek is doing this shit, too, apparently.

Considering the guy's history, I didn't believe Justin Sevakis' apology for one second; or his insistences that none of the alterations bragged about made it into the final product. I have absolutely no doubt that he was fully aware and approved of what was going on with that anime, until the jig was up at least; he's just trying to do damage control now.

Was looking forward to seeing Dimitri Monroe tackling this, and I am not disappointed. In spite of many others taking Justin Sevakis at his word and forgetting about the whole thing (even accepting his insistence that none of the changes bragged about made it into the final product, despite the fact that they did), this video pushes past the flimsily lies about Jello Apocalypse being a one-off bad actor, and exposes the truth that he was not unique; beyond just being arrogant and stupid enough to brag at length, about doing things his peers in the localization industry are still trying to deny are actually happening.

We do not hate localizers enough.

Eiyuden Chronicles Hundred Heroes, which was crowdfunded, is revealed to be the victim of more wokalization. When customers and backers posted about this on the official Discord, not blaming the developers, not threatening them, just asking what the heck is going on or stating the translation was not accurate, they were banned.

All indications seems to be the JP staff don't know about this. The absolute gall and disrespect of these woke assholes using the last work of a recently deceased video game developer and the JP staff who want this to be a success to push their nonsense is grotesque. And then to ban the customers who paid for the development of the game? Fucking disgusting.

They basically stabbed their core audience in the back by handing their game over to those jerks to translate, and in the process likely killed a decent amount of their momentum amongst English-speaking audiences. Here's hoping someone mods in a alternative English translation eventually.

So the makers of Stellar Blade claimed that the same uncensored version would ship in all countries.

Apparently they lied.

I've heard that the censorship is being forced upon them by Sony, and that this was a recent decision of theirs in response to all the fake controversy surrounding the game on social media.

...Anyone who thought Sony wouldn't censor this was deluding themselves.

Just wait for the PC release so you don't have to deal with that stuff, or at worst modders can correct the mistakes.
