What Anime are you watching today?

Started watching Cannon Busters; only managed to make it until episode 7 before the magic suddenly died. It's okay, but the pacing really drags it down, and the plot itself just doesn't have much of a point to it. Take the drunkard ninja guy; he just suddenly shows up in one episode, leaves the next, then shows up again out of nowhere in the second to last episode for no reason; other than the fact that it's the final fight of the season, and he's supposed to be a main character. I'm serious, he has literally no reason to be there, unless he's been following them in secret; in which case, why did he pretend to leave?

It clearly wants to homage the greats of the late nineties, like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun, but it feels like a pale imitation at best.

Watching Vinland Saga- they've done a good job. All the blond-haired golden eyed people is wierd though, this isn't Xerxes in FMA.

Also Demon Slayer.

Holy shit Ufotable, did you just employ all of North Korea to do nothing but draw for you? Is that your secret? Is this why we haven't invaded?

I know that studio has some of the best looking animation going but that really does push it. Captivating story too.

I've haven't watched too many new anime lately, but two that have caught my interest are Youjo Senki/Saga of Tanya the Evil (looking forward to an English dub of the movie) and Kotobuti.

On-and-off watching Slayers, the original series, in the background of other stuff I'm doing. Pure, glorious 90s cheese and dumb jokes with a thin veneer of a fantasy story that's filled by stereotypes. Lots of fun.

At some point in the near future also probably be checking out at least a few episodes of Girls und Panzer--I have been...extraordinarily and uniquely hesitant just because it rings the warning-bells of Strike Witches, but have been assured it's Different and actually does historical references and the like right. Judgement remains to be passed however.

Trying to find free time to check out The Twelve Kingdoms, Samurai Pizza Cats, and Appleseed or others whilst they're up for free on Retrocrush because they all look intriguing for one reason or another (Seriously--'Samurai Pizza Cats' just jumps out as a thing) but...probably won't find the time anytime soon.

I watched My Next Life as a Villainess recently, and found it to be a rather enjoyable Isekai where the female main character is reincarnated into the body of the villainess of an otome game. The pacing gets a little wonky in the later episodes, but I'd still say it's an above average show at worst; which is impressive for an Isekai.

Misfit of the Demon King Academy. Space Adventurer Cobra and discovered that Amazon Prime has Super Dimensional Fortress Macross the series on it.

It's worth a watch. They do pay attention to details compared to other simlar series.

As for me I finished the Second season of Legend of the Galactic Heroes which is a must watch for any anime fan and Sci fi fan.

I watched Chihayafuru which is a decent sport anime. I also watched My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes lead to Doom. It is a different take on the isekai harem anime. It is light hearted and while it may get stale in a second season the jokes worked in the frist one.

For GuP the most outrageous thing is the drifting tanks. They use a good deal of historical tactics and ideas. Of course they have some fun, and when you watch the final episode they take some liberties. but you cant say they don't make it somewhat realistic with how they do things with the tanks.

The movie and the new OVA is good too for it. If you wanna see a Mark 1, the new OVA is just for you then.

As for what anime, I am trying to find a good place to watch Gundam as I am trying to watch the gundam UC line in order.

Crrently at Z or was it Zeta. Anyway, the series after UC that takes place following the war, and not one of the many that take place during the war
