You get 2-3 shot at all levels because the entire world scales with you. I like the challenge though, so even if its annoying as hell I think its worth it.

might be a difficulty thing. I think only trolls and higher end enemies deal that level to me at normal. or you only tend to take damage from the harder enemies.

I've been playing Baldur's Gate 3. It's relatively good for early access. They could work on the classes a bit more. Wizards feel very nerfed while thieves and druids feel oped, but that could be due to the low levels.
Took a look over my Little Boy's shoulder. I'm tempted to buy a new machine to be able to play it :)
Looks good and playable, even if this is playtest beta.
Quite a jump for me, as I'm acquainted with DnD 2 and 3/3,5.
I see that new features are being added, like new classes. Looking forward to half-orcs. Thieflings and rumoured Dragonborn - :poop:  🤮
Minsc and Jaheira supposedly are to be featured. I hope that as quest giving NPCs/or in cameos like Drizzt Duroden in BG I/II. By the time of BG III "dey be EPIC!" - and what fun is there playing steamrollers?

Been playing Ark Survival Evolved with TunaCat lately, been having a good time in it.
Tuna tried building a giant ramp up a cliff and was taking them a couple IRL days to do so.

They didn't know how to build a giant ramp however so after deconstructing the scaffolding they built in preparation for it, I got it built with them in like 10 minutes. Heheh.
Current plan is to eugenically breed some super dinosaurs to help with collecting metal and other important resources.
Thus far I have the right genes to breed an Argentavis (giant eagle thingy) with frankly ludicrous HP and weight capacity, 50 and 49 innate levels respectively.

For comparison a 'good' dinosaur has around 30 in a given stat. The highest stat you can get (like, one in ten thousand chance) is around 52-55.

Bro the Sierra Madre DLC is so fucking OP.

Just wait ten in games days and you have enough .308 ammo for your machine gun to clap everything on very Hard difficulty once you get 100 on guns and running water for the +50% fire rate.

I literally solo'd the bear diety in Honest Hearts with 60 rounds

Pretty much all of the New Vegas DLC's just makes the player laughably stronger, provided you do them properly.
Like Sierra Madre is not toooooooo OP, but if you get the casino token thingy for breaking the bank there, you get ludicrous cash.

Yeah basically you get unlimited repair kits which means unlimited money just by farming NCR Heavy Troopers for their power sledges which go for 5 to 4k a pop.

You can get like 70 Weapon Repair kits for one voucher so that's several hundred k worth of caps just by waiting three days.

You can also mass buy .308 rounds for the BAR which even on Hard difficulty chews through death claws, and God help your enemies if you give a companion a bar as well. The dakka would make short work of any enemy.

Did you grab all the gold bars? <;D

Gotta love how the point of the DLC is to learn to let go, and thanks to exploits you can have your cake and eat it too!
Tbf I think sneaking out past Elijah is intended considering the stealth boy in the vault. But I think that's the only intended way to do it and other ways are exploits.

But anyway I had Remnant armor on a ton of micro fusion cells and 100 energy with 200 stimpacks and all body implants before I tried sierra madre for the first time as well as 100 unarmed and the strongest unarmed weapon. So I expected it to be an easy 20 minute adventure like the first panel.

Until I realized they leave your ass butt naked (Fortunately I stole the Van Graff armor which is listed as a quest item so I had decent protection since it can't be removed).

As I understand it, the area is designed specifically so trying to just walk out with all the bars doesn't give you enough time to leave before going boom.
You have to be in a very specific spot to evade his scripted detection which can detect stealthboy'd 100 sneak characters, that gives you extra time you need to walk out.

From doing this last week you have to sneak out when he accesses the computer/terminal thing. (Not before or after)

I think it's meant to infer he's really perceptive but a distraction to direct his focus elsewhere is essential for escaping.

You have to catch him off guard, if he's on guard fat chance.

... so, what do you get when you have a company with lots of money, a bunch of fanboys who modeled one of their games after the game they're remaking (and the series it spawned), and a cult classic that only has good memories?

Well, you get Pharaoh: A New Era.

From the second vid it basically looks like Age of Empires II with better graphics and a larger population cap.

That was released before Y2K.

First, the company transcribed the entire game (released in the '90s) into modern graphics. As something of a diehard gamer of the original, I can easily tell the difference...

... it was one of my first city-builders outside of Sim City 3000.

Played the original back when it was first released, alongside Homeworld (the amount of times I played those demos before I could buy the full games!).

I still play the original Pharaoh and Cleopatra, and the original Homeworld.

This?

While they've made a lot of QoL extensions, they've fucked it up in a lot of ways.

They dumbed down the military aspect. The characters look like cartoons -- bad ones. The shading on the buildings is non-existent, so it looks like mobile gaming crap. A lot of the details on the buildings, such as the hieroglyphics, are outright missing. There isn't even a fucking minimap.

As a fan, I am seriously not impressed. If you're going to remaster something, do it faithfully; ensure that new features do not subtract from the gaming experience.

In short? Don't fuck it up.

They fucked it up.
