What If? What If Darth Vader was taken prisoner by the Nazis in the middle of WWII

Due to either ROB or some other space time mishap, Vader's TIE Fighter crashes into German Territory and he's found and taken prisoners by the Nazis. assuming they have a way to keep him alive I ask the following three questions.

1. Can he either escape custody or overpower his kidnappers?
2. If he does escape or overpower the nazi's What is Vader Likely to next?
3. What if any effect does this have on WWII and ramifications Post-WWII?

question 2.5: IF Vader decides to take over the Nazi Party how is he likely to do it and what will he most likely change?

For this scenario we'll say Vader is stranded. Contact with the empire is impossible and there is no way the empire can get to him. So Palpatine leaves him for dead. he has to work with whatever earth tech he can get ahold of and whatever he can salvage from his damaged suit and TIE. his lightsaber is undamaged so he can use that if he can get to it. it also means that neither Palpatine nor the Rebel Alliance can interfere. Vader is on his own to do as he pleases for good or bad.

Edit: Legends continuity Vader

0) He might not be able to survive without his special chamber and suit maintenance equipment.
1)Force mind trick/choke/push into wall.
2) A man dressed in a black cape and wierd techno-samurai armor wielding a glowing sword is rather conspicuous.
2.5) See the bit about wierd techno-samurai walking around.
3) Assuming that somehow, due to more ASB magic perhaps, Vader does end up running Nazi Germany he would probably:
3.1) Force-choke all the top nazis, they were morons and maniacs.
3.2)Find all of the nazi racial purity ideas to be absolute gibberish. The Empire was speciesist in favor of humans.
3.3) Vader was actually a pretty capable technician, he did build droids and racing pods from scrap, I think he continued to tinker in his later life.If he has a deeper understanding of the fundamentals behind the tech, well, he will probably manage to boost technological progress quite a bit.

Earth becomes the center of a new Empire, possible a Sith one.

Vader had ambition and cunning, despite Sidious' actions in keeping him as a crippled attack dog.

He also could use the Force (Dark Side) to sustain himself for extended periods outside of his life-support (e.g. when it's damaged): It's just incredibly taxing on him.

Knowing Vader? He'd probably use the Nazis ala HYDRA to set up his tech-base/support, then take over completely when he's able/when it's convenient. He was a gifted engineer, and he understood the fundamentals of a lot of technology during his time as both a Republican/Jedi and Imperial/Sith.

Then he'd do what the God Emperor did: in Warhammer Take over the Earth.

Hell, all he'd need to do for the short-term is build an atomic weapon early on in the War, or develop something like very crude but effective railgun technology (to be frank, SW tech as a whole is so ahead of us it's like us sending a gifted mechanical engineer and chemist from three hundred years in our future back into the Renaissance or earlier or into Westeros: It ain't gonna end well for them/us).

Without Sidious being a watchdog, he could then begin work on healing himself or giving himself a better suit, when the technology/materials become available; remember, the whole world would be, by his direction, technologically bootstrapped by him by this point.

Mankind would be an solar empire within thirty or so years, maybe less. There's a lot of resources out in the Solar System as a whole, after all.

So I take it you don't think the allied or Axis powers could really stop him? Also would the salvaged tech from his old suit or his wrecked TIE fighter be able to play a part in anything?

1. These are just ordinary, non-supernatural Nazis? Not vampire Nazis or super-serum Nazis or anything? Vader tied up, naked except for his breath mask, and in the process of being lowered into a vat of acid headfirst would still kill them all and walk out on his own.

2. This is going to depend a touch on continuity. Canon Vader really didn't have much drive and just acted as the Emperor's attack dog up until he discovered Luke. Legends Vader had significantly more ambition and did things like train up a secret apprentice for the purpose of taking over. Either option is probably going to first prioritize contact the Empire and only take other actions once he's established that's not possible. He's likely to beeline towards the nearest communications room/tower and only when he's dismayed to realize how primitive it is, take stock and regroup.

Vader is likely to devote his efforts to continuing to try to contact the Emperor. He may find a private place to meditate in the Force to reach out that way if he's decided radio won't cut it. Once that fails he may try capturing materials to build his own Hypercomm. Only after that possibility is also exhausted do I see him turning to working on improving his own situation. By then he's likely to be fairly notorious at least among the Nazis due to subtle things like having obvious supernatural powers, slicing a tank in half with his lightsaber, being visually rather distinctive, and being able to kill an entire infantry company in two minutes.

For this reason I don't see Vader readily taking over the Nazis. By the time he actually turns his mind to doing so he'll already have burned those bridges and have something along the lines of a flee-on-sight order and they'll probably be calling in artillery strikes rather than risking getting chopped in half the moment they see him. He's more likely to become an icon for their enemies. I could see him hooking up with the French Resistance, they will absolutely have no problems with his ruthless methods.

3. Vader in general seems to be a Lawful Evil type, he's interested in bringing about Order and he could actually do it. I expect he'd work to destroy both the Nazis and Vichy France and eventually install himself as leader over both nations combined, along with other Nazi holdings like Poland and Austria. The allies may see that as dangerous ambition but they might also simply be relieved that they're not going to have to invade the mainland and Vader can be fairly charismatic and convincing when he needs to be.

His biggest hindrance in this may be that Vader isn't really accustomed to talking to equals and he may have some issues trying to treat that way. If he can get past that, however, without Operation Paperclip the US has precious little in the way of rocketry while Russia isn't much better and Germany is vastly ahead in both. Vader is also going to have a keen interest in getting back into space so expect him to back a space race immediately, and win handily. It's not totally clear how much of Vader's tech knowledge is going to work but he was quite handy with junk and scrap as a kid so he's good at working under less-than-ideal conditions. With the new Sith Empire well ahead and running all the satellites, operating most of the world's tech and communications, and led by a guy who can wipe out just about anything short of a whole battalion in short order their position is secure.

After a couple of years with no contact from the Emperor, Vader is likely to turn his sights on obtaining his own apprentice, and eventually taking over the world. He can't actually destroy the US and Russia by himself but he now controls the orbitals and probably has at least nukes well before anybody else does. He has enough power under his command to make a good go at it.

I think some of the EU mentioned that Vader did a decent amount of scheming against the emperor and against his other favorites, prince Xizor comes to mind, also he did try and recruit that guy from The Force Unleashed, IIRC.

I think Vader knew Palpy had manipulated him and was just biding his time, like any good Sith would.

Yeah, Legends Vader had significantly more personal goals and ambition than Canon Vader.

...This is Darth Vader. :ROFLMAO:

He wasn't just some brute in a suit: The guy was cunning, intelligent, and so ruthless it'd make the Nazis blush.

Due to either ROB or some other space time mishap, Vader's TIE Fighter crashes into German Territory and he's found and taken prisoners by the Nazis. assuming they have a way to keep him alive I ask the following three questions.

1. Can he either escape custody or overpower his kidnappers?

If his captors didn't inadvertantly screw him over by breaking his mask or whatever, I would assume he would and could overpower his attackers. So as others have already stated he'd probably murderize any dozen or hundred Nazis that tried to keep him in captivity. I suppose it depends on the situation and setting but it seems highly unlikely that the Germans could blow him to smithereens with vast amounts of manpower and firepower though it is "possible" theoretically they could do so. But they'd have to know what they are up against and... they probably won't.

2. If he does escape or overpower the nazi's What is Vader Likely to next?

If he's in Germany, I'd imagine he'd want to leave it as soon as possible. I could see wanting to join the Resistance but in all honesty, for some reason I feel like he'd go East instead of West, just because he'd realize there's a land connection to anti-Nazi forces and no giant rivers or oceans or mountain ranges in the way. So I'd actually figure he might hook up with the Polish Resistance or Home Guard units when he figures out he's stranded here.

But yeah if not then he'd hook up with the French Resistance or the Allied Forces in Italy.... though for some reason I'd feel that would go the most poorly (unless he made his way to the Soviets) because I can't help but feel both of those groups are so formal that they'd try to detain him and thus run afoul of being just as murderized.

3. What if any effect does this have on WWII and ramifications Post-WWII?

He ends up in Poland, joins the Polish Resistance, uses his forces powers and military experience to build up the strength of the Polish Home Army in Warsaw. He's also a mechanical master so who knows whatever mechanical nonsense he creates in teh meantime and abroad over the next year and when the Russians come marching in during 1944, orders the General Uprising and liberates Warsaw by his fucking self if he has to. And if the Russians don't like it, he'll pay a visit to the nearest Soviet Command and complicate things. Things could end up very good, or very bad for Vader and Poland as a result. But it'd be pretty metal if the Soviets decide to deal with Darth Vader Duchy of Warsaw more hands off so that they too won't suffer a mini-Purge of Revanchist Killings that Vader would likely vow if the Soviets decide to takeover the place. If the Soviets don't play ball, Vader would probably engage in said Revanchism and I doubt the Soviets would do any better in stopping him, especially now since Vader would've had a year of experience dealing with these primitive Humans. Maybe Vader croaks eventually but if not, seeing him lead Seperatist Rebellions that are violent and bloody and brutal just to spite Stalin (who would be living in perpetual fear of getting laser death'd).

But it'd be more fun to imagine Vader establishing a new Empire, starting in Poland of all places in the Post War world and everyone shifting around uncomfortably during the postwar talks. 😁
