"Woke" Franchises

Think of it like this; thanks to Disney making the Expanded Universe non-canon, it isn't tainted by what the franchise as a whole has become.

You mean it's NOT continuing anymore? I dunno about you, but I've seen that even veteran writers tend to go crazy because they were already liberals before and start inserting SJW-BS

Shit like inserting fart-fetishes in a book or the Mary Sue planet which Admiral SJW Giraffe hails from is all in the Disney Canon. Say what you want about Legend Canon, but at least it didn't have Wedge interrupting a wedding by farting so loud that everyone starts to fart too. Which is something Poe did.

Is that from one of the new comics and books? I've been on readcomicsonline and getcomics, I've seen a LOT of Star Wars

Funny thing I noticed from star wars complaint threads was about Admiral Holdo in the comics was what she did to get her hair dyed. She kills space venus fly traps for that hair dye in the background and made it look horrible like killing an endangered animal for beautification.

Why doesn't she just go to a store or salon like a normal person?

There is that, and I have some nostalgia for it, but other than my sendoff crossover fic of Swords and some small-scale RPs with my spouse I haven’t touched Star Wars since 2015 except to watch Rogue One on the back seat monitor of an ANA transpacific bird.

Or how her home planet is glorified for banning slavery during the Old Republic ... a time when slavery was illegal in most of the galaxy.

Her home planet had also the most complete archives on the teachings of the jedi, yet somehow the Empire didn't burn the planet to the ground to erase that.

Well, she has to be seen as special somehow, even if it doesn't make sense

Even natural talents or geniuses from a young age are less obviously sue-ish or fanfic sue like than this

@Husky_Khan clearly the Real Thing is more fashionable. Come on!

@Urabrask Revealed the mere fact that you just told the truth about that book makes me sick. At least Trioculous and Moff Hissa were just exceedingly stupid. *hugs her old EU books*.

I stopped watching back during season 3, when the writing quality suddenly took a nosedive; and from what I've heard, it got worse from there. The only designs that matter to me, much like everything else involving the show, are what we saw in the first two seasons.
It did. At this point, I've given up hope that thing will get better. About the only reason I'm still watching is to see how badly RT is going to screw up and even that's gotten old. I'm probably going to stop watching after this Volume. And I'm with you @Terthna ; as far as I'm concerned, only the first three Volumes matter worth a damn. Anything past that is broad-strokes canon AT BEST.

Is it wrong that I HATE Yang's new pants look? I'm already betting that she'll be getting butch-dyke hair, after deciding to sacrifice her long hair and keeping it real shot as a sign of character development or something

I've hated Yang's pants (and her outfit) since V4. And given they already did that to Blake- whose haircut just looks awful- I wouldn't put it past RT to do the same to Yang. Though it would mean they'd be changing how Yang's Semblance works- as her hair is used as a battery of sorts. Then again, RT haven't exactly been entirely consistent with it since Volume 2/3 and it wouldn't be the first time they've retroactively changed something major.

Gonna bet she'll be wearing dude clothes more and more often too

Anybody remember her slight flirty and seductiveness earlier seasons ago? I think stuff like that'll never happen again
