You'll get a much more in depth look at income vs cost of rent.

Using rents in San Fran and New York to average out with places like Jasper and Hemphill, Texas is dumb. Ditto when comparing incomes.

Minimum wage is also a useless comparison.

Many of the jobs in that level are service positions that ALSO GET tips. Thus raising their income.

Additionally, you don't stay on minimum wage. IF you do, that's your fault. Raises happen, and you should show your boss you work hard and are worth the raise.

I am not so lucky. The overwhelming majority of the time you are stuck for years or forever with the same amount of money. I can attest this from the economic and financial capital of Italy, Milan.

What I learned so far are hospitality services : with mask mandates I am stuck at being jobless.

I do know a number of languages. Which could help.
