More on Rick Riordan and how he said he'd never have his work adapted into a film again selling out to do just that.
Never read much of his work but even just through osmosis I was pretty aware he was pretty strongly leftist in his values but I didn't realize he loathed the original film adaptions of his work while praising this newer les faithful adaption with all of its race swapping.

Seriously, this is the kind of shit that Slaanesh gets off on, and he...she...it couldn't be inflicted on a more deserving bunch of people.
Alexandra Daddario was perfect for the part when she was younger, right down to the eyes.
And now Annabeth, described as being pale, blonde with grey eyes, is a Black chick.
I guarantee you he nor the other creators/producers involved in this project would have the balls to race-swap non-White characters, like Leo and Piper.

The truth bomb many need to swallow is that “diverse casting” is usually a massive red flag for producers and writers who don’t give a toss for the source material.
If they don’t give a rat’s arse about being faithful to even the character descriptions, what do you think will happen to the rest?

I shared more for the commentator than the subject. According to her self description she is gamer and... Bible student? Also her linktree doesn't lead to onlyfans or similar so that's a plus. On the fact she was part of the nonsense crowd, it is still pleasant seeing someone who has enough sense in her head see what is the other side of "conflict".

That implies we are in her same "faction" and we are "betraying" her. I never was in that sociopolitical spectrum; in addition, I never enjoyed the universe of Harry Potter beyond the first three videogames tie-ins and the Quidditch videogame, not to mention I never finished the movie series (guess I am lucky that I waned off for me that early) or even picked those brick-sized books even though definitively a good writer but not my cup of tea, I prefer creepypastas such as Stolen Tongues to the kind of JKR fantasy, as I enjoyed more books like those of Terry Brooks such as Genesis of Shannara and The Word & The Void Series.

I don't deny that we're, at best, situational allies against this particular strain of madness but I do applaud her having the stones to take a stance against the enforced narrative when she has little if anything to gain personally.

I get what you're trying to do here, but this roast stopped being insulting decades ago when college became the worse brain-rotting machine of the two.
Also, I think what he'd respond better to is 'the enemy of my enemy isn't my friend when he's the government's useful idiot, he's just my useful idiot until I win and I can finally make him useless again.'
He's not using binary thinking, I think. It looks more like circular logic. And a bit of projection, given the personal offense in there with the 'you idiots' thing.
