What reason is there not to? It's not like he's harming the people he's using for publicity.
I'm not sure how my browsing led me to this clip, but the whole video was shocking. Several self-proclaimed Democrat callers were VERY disdainful towards their parties' conduct during the speech, talking of quitting the party. Assuming they're not crank callers (and why would anyone put in the effort to troll C-span of all things) I think it hints at a larger trend of regular voters being fed up with congressional democrats.

I had a similar epiphany watching this video of an Iowa voter who wanted to change her primary vote after belatedly learning that Buttigieg was gay. I wondered "And how many other Democrats are like that?" Which isn't to say something infantile like "Dems are the REAL homophobes". Rather, videos like that really show that the screen-addicted news junkies, tumblr/twitter ranters and, dare I say, Spacebattles users, make up a small percent of the Democrat voting base. Many of them might be like the woman in the video, who was so low-information that only on the day of the Iowa caucus did she learn that Pete Buttigieg was a gay man. Or they're like those C-span callers, watching the behavior of Congressional Democrats and seeing a party that doesn't gel with their own views, deciding of their own volition that it's time to split.

Any American who supports Trump shouldn't. Why? Because you won't benefit if you don't win.
During the 2016 campaign Trump said. "We'll win so much you'll be tired of winning."
I know, but so far I'm not tired of winning.
That doubling down has been backfiring on them to various degrees over the last few years. What control they have over the media and academia is mostly just there from previous momentum. And in the Information Age, that’s not enough. Especially with how much support they’re losing.
Democrats with their histrionics and impeachment shenanigans have likely inoculated Trump from actual scandals. You can only cry wolf so many times before people stop reacting. The closest Trump gets to actual scandals are an offensive faux pax here or there and everybody is used to that now.

So you know how Trump pretty much instantly used Pelosi's stunt as a campaign ad? Well Pelosi tried to get it taken down but got told to fuck off by both Facebook and Twitter. So much for being proud of having torn it up.
