I literally just said that even if they don't like it — and again, the vast majority of them wouldn't — most Democrats would probably dismiss it as "a hateful minority" rather than a larger, systemic problem the Left has in general.

You know, kind of like Muslims blaming "a few fanatics" for Islamic extremism... without acknowledging there are tenants of Islam itself that make members of their community more likely to commit violent or extrajudicial acts in the name of their faith than Christians or Jews are, for example. Not saying individual Muslims are to blame for everything the wackos do; merely pointing out that certain teachings beget certain behaviors, especially from loonies on the edge already.

Because they are trolling by being "technically correct". It's a distributed organization consisting of hundreds, if not thousands of independent cells with no central hierarchical leadership, linked only by loosely leftist ideology, that only sometimes get together for major actions.
And that *is* the golden standard for how to run a hard to take down guerilla or terrorist organization since at least WW2. In that, they are near identical to how ISIL works. While it has a central hierarchy in areas where it holds ground, in the West it can be as low profile as a lone islamist inspired by their internet propaganda or word of mouth from a fellow mosque goes declaring his allegiance and going off to knife someone or few of them setting up a bomb plot, obviously with no previous direct contact and orders from higher leadership (which as far as it exists, often does get killed).
Usually it's shitlib idiots or fellow leftist travelers who troll like this, while quite a few more mainstream journos and law enforcement organizations have officially recognized it.
