If you dont know Leslie Fish is dropping by at some point soon, who's a well known name in Sci-Fi and Filk music, and a real early fanfic writer on the scene who is credited with the first Spock/Kirk fanfic ever.

Was Libertarian for a long time, leaning distributist now. Not too happy with megacorps at the moment and how easily they can override freedoms by simply pulling the money and services out from under the rug of people designated as undesirables, how elections get manipulated, how with enough money you can just circumvent law or buy up media to shill for you. Other than that very in line with the above.

Been all over the place, but I am leaning distributist now too.

But over all I am moderate conservative of sorts, an actual moderate conservative and not a scraper.

Distributivism is certainly an important element of my own beliefs. “There are not too many capitalists, but too few”.

What is distributivism? I could google it... but hearing you monkeys explain a new concept to me sounds far more appealing and like farmingly...

Distributism is basically socialism and capitalism both bad and both have negative effects on tradition, the family, the local community and the church. These are seen as most important to social function and cohesion. Economics should generally be oriented to as many small businesses and self employment as possible, less giant corporations, and local communities should have more power and autonomy. Basically, people are better off oriented towards their local community than towards a class identity of rich vs poor, and that its more fulfilling and a better life to be self employed or in a small business than as one cog in a giant corporation. People care more about you when your boss sees you every day than as a number in a log. I say leaning because I see it as an ideal more so than a prescription and policy shouldnt be aimed at forcing these things but to make sure that they stick around, are supported and favored over megacorps, and I am definitely more capitalistic leaning than socialist leaning and dont think both are close to equally bad.

And most insightful of all...

Distributism is definitely a, squirly phrase. The person who introduced it to me, the Distributist YouTube channel, has notably never made a video about distributism itself directly, and it has become something of a running joke in his own videos that he hasn't and likely wouldn't for a while, noting that there was a brief explosion of work on the topic a 100 years ago, and not a whole lot since then.

Is... is that supposed to be a criticism of him? The reason why he never talked about Distributism was because, for the longest time, he thought it was an outdated economic system. Yes, for the longest time, he wasn't an actual distributist. He's had that name for years now, and he wasn't a distributist all that time. He only chose that name because he had G. K. Chesterton as his avatar.

But in any case, if I'm able to convince him and the members of his Discord server to come onto this website en masse, that'd be a treat for you guys.

Honestly I don't really think you have to reach out to them.

As control freaks gain more power they will classify more and more stuff as wrong think, destroy and hurt more and more neutrals and former allies. By their very nature they create an opasition, and since they do not value loyalty they turn on people and bite the hand that feeds them.

SV will likely moderate itself to be less politically extreme after enough lines are crossed it will still be left leaning because I think thats its nature but the wackos wont be able to help themselves.

SB I think will get worse and worse until the owner of the site snaps and does a complete lock down and purge. My money is that one of the antifa types there will commit an act of terrorism get caught and after a talk with the police the sites leader will purge the extremists out of self presivation.

2020 will be by the far the worst year we will deal with though both online and in the real worlds its....its going to suck people.

Honestly I don't really think you have to reach out to them.

I get what you are saying, but I still think outreach is important simply because the powers that be don't want wrongthinkers to connect with each other. This is why sites like Gab and Minds are so maligned by the mainstream press. They want wrongthinkers to be isolated from each other, without any kind of network with which to communicate their ideas. Outreach is important for them because not everyone is going to know that there are alternatives. Heck, I didn't know there was an alternative until @Speaker4thesilent moved his quest here. More people need to know.

Things have to get worse before they get better.....guess that’s a way for us to get more members without actually having to do anything.

The more explicitly WOKE and stereotypically close to the more media affecting SJWs they become on those sites, the more that there become people who can’t keep going “SJW’s don’t exist” without looking at themselves and their compatriots and realizing how the people they labeled “Alt-Right were right all along
