And as much as I hate Pelosi, not going is a good idea. We don't need to escalate tensions right now.

However, by backing down, Pelosi (and our government) now look like we have no spine for confrontation.

This makes it MORE LIKELY that China will pull the trigger on attacking Taiwan.
