I think it is just America's credibility that is dead not the country itself. Granted the current administration doesn't make me see the nation itself have good prospects for the future.
I dunno. It just feels like the rot from the top is becoming terminal by this point, if it isn't already.
I mean, you've got shit going on straight out of a mid-20th communist country going on (especially persecuting political rivals), one Party literally having stormtroopers and thugs (BLM and AntiFa), and the President himself is a child-sniffing kiddie-fucker that abused one kid and turned the other into... well, Hunter.
Even the corporations, which have way too much influence in political and global affairs, are full on into this corruption.
I think its going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

NOTE : I wouldn't be surprised if they are already trying to figure (or have done so already) to shift the attention somewhere else. Or maybe it is the distraction for something else.
SIDENOTE : Come to think about it, I am surprised it was actually reported on mainstream media, even with all the twists they are trying to pull. Must have been so blatant that it was next to or impossible to ignore willingly.

They evacuated the Whitehouse over it. No avoiding the news on that one. Sure, they're in the government pocket, but they aren't going to ignore something as juicy as the Whitehouse being evacuated no matter who's pocket they're in.

Pretty sure Michelle has repeatedly said she has no interest in running. which kinda sucks for dems since she could theoretically be a pretty unifying candidate for them. in reality if you look at how she has been in the public in the past she would likely insult a fair portion of the base in her 1st or 2nd speech.
