I am familiar with this. It is included in The China Show clip I shared yesterday. The wife asked for the COVID barrier to be modified to allow the children of the (HOA equivalent but ultimately owned by CCP) to use the direct route to school. Close off the long route and move the checkpoint to the intersection closest to the school cutting off several kilometers of detours and making it safer for the school children. The asshole official that came to the house while the wife was at work is the equivalent of an HOA president. It was the husband's turn to care for the kids. The power mad pussy accused him of being a rebel and defaming the government. The little pissant couldn't even pick a fight without the three CCP police moonlighting as his enforcers.
Looks like the majority of the CCP security apparatus obeyed orders. This revolt won't win. Those soldiers and other security units who backed down will get purged next.

There has been more then one former peasant who rose to high position in chinese history and did well in their position. Xi is sadly no one of them, and he made the mistake of concentrating all power into himself which means when this all goes to shit all the fingers will go to him.

Nations cannot escape their heritage just by having a revolution. The Cultural Revolution and Maoist attempts at destroying the "four olds" were nowhere near enough. All they did was muddle the waters and destroy heritage but deep down the attitudes and cultural genesis are still the same they were before.

It's not really about hate, and it's not really about gratitude. It's about pulling up the ladder behind themselves.
The place gave them everything. But now that they have everything, the opportunity for somebody else to also get everything exists, and they want to stay on top. Much in the same way that big corporations use regulatory capture and red tape to ruin the opportunities they had to become big, the wealthy attempt to destroy the nation that gave them their wealth so that no more competing wealthy can rise up from the middle class.
It's that kind of stuff that makes people inclined to listen to communists and national-socialists when they rant about storming the houses of the rich and beating them to death. Above all else avoid becoming hated. It makes people decide that they'd rather die than let you enjoy one more day.
I do pray that one day the elites will wake up and find they have nowhere to flee.

I’m sorry but rule by educated elites is better how? Being educated or speaking a certain way does not make a great leader. I’ve seen people educate themselves into stupidity. Look at the damage the Ivy League educated people have done over in the west. Is this more rural vs city conflict. There are plenty of wise and smart men and women in those hills you disparage.
