I’m sorry but rule by educated elites is better how? Being educated or speaking a certain way does not make a great leader. I’ve seen people educate themselves into stupidity. Look at the damage the Ivy League educated people have done over in the west. Is this more rural vs city conflict. There are plenty of wise and smart men and women in those hills you disparage. Xi being a horrible leader and person has basically nothing to do with his education or lack there off.
There is a difference between actual wisdom and intelligence and regurgitating book knowledge amigo. If you can't tell the difference or understand that a difference exists between the two I can't help you.

What does that have to do with anything I said? You where specifically pointing to xi’s lack of education and his way of speaking and then disparaged a specific rural area of America. I’m legitimately confused by your response to me. I agree with the statement that there very much is a difference between wisdom and intelligence vs book learning that was exactly my point.

The point is having wisdom and intelligence is required for a good society. Otherwise you get arseholes like Xi and Kim. I used an American stereotype because the stereotype I know doesn't translate well outside of Poland and Romania. That and the Eastern European stereotype is a lot more crude and insulting. And would get you stabbed if you say it in the wrong places. Especially if a Russian overhears you. Thin skinned pizda.

Covid Is Apparently Spreading and Estimates Ranging Upwards that China could face over one and a half million deaths from Covid after barely easing up on their strict Lockdown measures which caused a severe curbing of their economic growth due to repeated lockdowns.

Bingo. Xi isn't even hiding that this is his priority. Screw economy, control is more important, back to Mao if that's what it takes.
China is in the midst of a slow-motion collapse which will not be pretty because their rulers are doubling down in ways which are and will make things much worse because they want absolute control and demand absolute loyalty.

So how will the canteens function if they are locked down by the Wuhan Flu?
Probably in the neighborhood lockdown system that had some use before. All neighborhood is only allowed to go to the canteen for food, and various parts of it in specific hours at that, think along these lines.

It makes sense when you realize that China's economy is a house of cards that is set to collapse at any moment; which would rob the CCP of their mandate in the eyes of the Chinese people, and mean they need something else to stay in power instead of the promise of economic prosperity.

Raw power is more of a defense from the consequences of losing the mandate rather than a replacement for the mandate.
Though losing economic prosperity through a decisive change in priorities before losing it out of incompetence and corruption does help to save face.

Literal lines of funeral vehicles?

More then 90% of China's population has been vaccinated, but that was over a year ago for many of them and using Chinese vaccines which are viewed as less effective. The elderly population has been struck particularly hard as expected.

Many countries, including the US, will be apparently implementing COVID tests on people flying in from China now.

1 million children have disappeared every year since the zero covid lockdowns started. The CCP suppressed the data, but it's all over the Chinese internet reposted and shared in many forms and in allegorical phrases to evade censorship. Those children just ceased to exist in all official records save hard copies in the possession of the parents. The CCP is fucked up.

Dramatic increase of activity at Chinese funeral homes and crematoriums due to the Covid sweeping the nation.

Some estimates apparently ranging to about 9000 deaths a day.

Whoa; that’s… that’s fucked up. 😨

Maybe it’s just me, but even if we ignore the economic damage and non-Covid deaths they’ve probably caused, I’m starting to think Zero-Covid lockdowns were pretty much for nought now. Frankly, if they’re still having as many deaths as they are, then I hardly see how things could’ve be worse without the mandates to begin with.

entire mess is pretty much chinas fault to begin with so I'm left with little pity.

It’s one thing not to pity the CCP, it’s another not to pity average Chinese citizens — including fucking children, mind you — footing the butcher’s bill for their government’s twisted decisions. :(

That said, I don’t like the current Chinese regime any more than you do. But sadly, I’m fearful that this may well be the last incarnation of a united China we see for a while. If communism killed Russia when not even the Mongols could, then there’s a good chance it’ll kill China, too — especially since the People’s Republic has already reigned slightly longer than the Soviet Union had, what with lasting 73 years and counting to the USSR’s 69.
