That could be any mod which adds or replaces any character. It's nonsense and should be treated like nonsense.
Call me cynical but the Grand Dragon of the KKK isn't clapping in joy at a Fallout 4 mod.
Racial hatred isn't replacing Preston Garvey with a White dude, it's hanging black people IRL.

Right, so it isn't "just" a character replacement mod.

It replaces every black character. Every female raider. It does this to try and be "realistic" and "grounded", which ignores... more or less everything about both fallout and 1950s america.

It's literally "I don't like seeing black people" the mod.

So I looked the mod YT page :


Yeah weirdly there are a bit of too many race-swaps and gender-swaps.

It would raise an eyebrow after you notice the pattern... although the excuse of Moddb still is a tad bit farcical. There is circumstantial evidence to me but not what me or @Abhorsen (sorry to tag you, but it would be interesting to have your take here) would deem PROPER and ACTUAL evidence.

Oh I agree that the reasoning was retarded, right along with the rule itself(seriously, sedition and blasphemy being disallowed?), but you can't deny that it is... if not past the line on some of the others it's on it.

Do I think they should take anything down that isn't classified information or otherwise illegal? No. Do they have the right to set their rules as they wish? Yes.

Grounded Commonwealth is a mod for Fallout 4 that overhauls hundreds of NPCs and thousands of records so that the experience now aligns more with what you would expect from a caricatured White America that never moved on from its 1950s Atomic Age culture.

The goal was literally make it whiter. And it didn't seem to be an honest attempt at creating a 1950s America either, as Black people were still in 1950s America, just discriminated against. If he had added lines for discrimination, had black people in subservient roles, added segregated water fountains, etc, that would have made sense, but instead he just got rid of all the black characters, which isn't accurate to the 1950s.

AFAICT, dude just made a mod designed to racebait one side or the other. I'm not shocked at all it was banned. Should it have been? probably not in a perfect world. But if you want your website to not have racist content on it, I could easily understand banning this one.

If it was a mod that replaced White characters and male characters, it would've been left up and hardly anyone would've complained about it. The endless "Removing LGBT flags is EVIL, but adding them is A-okay!" mod fiascos proves that.

Yes, and hypocrisy is a thing that exists.

This does not mean you can not isolate incidents of action and say "this is reasonable", you just must also then take other incidents of non action and call them unreasonable.

If someone barges in your house and pulls a gun on you, murder as an act of self defense becomes justified.
If people aren't playing by the rules, you shouldn't reward their behavior by submitting to them.

By definition any word is determined by whoever uses it the most. Today murder means deliberately killing someone, tomorrow it could mean killing someone of the wrong color/belief/etc.
You cannot justify removing 'racism'/'sexism' when every major mod website practices every nasty word under the sun, except at the 'right' targets. I'm a man of consistency, ban ALL nasty stuff, or none of it. Half-assing it is lame, fake, and gay.

The law defines it as the unlawful killing of another person, as do dictionaries.

Before. From the earlier screenshot, we can see the banning happened August 23rd and thereabout. Those posts directly reference social media posts as part of the reason they are looking at the creation with concern.

This post from the account advertising the mod is from July 10th.

Why I have the sensation this guy is doing all this bullcrap just for shit and giggles ?

Though...the question would arise why he put effort in a FALLOUT 4 mod that RE-DOES the majority of the characters (if not ALL of them) just for shit and giggles ? FALLOUT 4 mods are much easier to do than FALLOUT 3 and NV but it's not like doing a paint job of a house (get materials and paint and that's it).

I mean, maybe he IS actually doing it for those shit and giggles, but DAMN I wouldn't waste or put so much time just for that!
