Looks like Nintendo is going to have to liberate the developers of Palworld.

I have no idea what Palworlds is

It's like some derivative of Pokemon and Digimon or something. I think @Pocky Balboa and @Blasterbot were talking aboot it in the General Gaming Thread.

Regardless there have been a lot of memes about it recently.

Some dev from Naughty Dog also got a viral tweet for saying the Palworld developers must've cheated somehow in making their game, apparently there's accusations it used AI or something to allegedly rip off other IP or other nonsense.

I have been seeing memes about this for a minute now but have no idea what this shit is actually about. I guess I now understand how my parents felt when Pokemon first came out

Palworld is basically an open world survival game (Minecraft, Ark, Rust, etc.) fused with monster collecting (Pokemon, Digimon, etc.). It was made by a small dev team (like, their modeler for this game is a middle-school drop-out that is also working in a convenience store) that only has a few games under their belt with no backing from any of the major publishers (Microsoft only paid them for a short-term exclusivity deal), and they basically scratched a lot of the itch that many Pokemon and monster collecting game fans had after Game Freak's recent turds with the Pokemon franchise (not surprising since Palworld had a lot more effort devoted to it). The usual wokie and game journalist crowd, along with the diehard "Pokemon is the only real monster collecting game" fanatics have been up to their usual antics, what with trying to shit on the game and trying to get it shut down.

EDIT: Oh, and it's just been revealed that the guy who presented "evidence" that the 3D models in Palworld were copied from Pokemon made it all up and he admitted it.

Ark meets pokemon. it came out with a 10% sale and is unsurprisingly fun based on both those games being quite fun. It is a bit derivitive since it is quite tongue in cheek with it being a parody of pokemon. Pal #69 is a joke about all the furries in that fandom. unsurprisingly many on the internet need to be outraged over a nothingburger that would just be a fun game without the controversy.

That reminds me when one guy took down (temporarily) Syrian Warfare on Steam through official complaint that the game is using stolen code. Claim was fake and he bragged it was not the first time he did it, but nothing happened to him.

I wonder in amazement how someone becomes a company worshipper frankly.

Not even when I was 13 and owned a PS2 and PS3 I would defend a company practice.

Right now I would just say that some company are way less shittier than other (gog.com for example but even they had their very intentional missteps).
