Anybody watching Metallic Rouge, Shangri-La Frontier, and/or Bravern?

Shangri-La Frontier is a video game manga/anime written by someone who actually understands video games/gamers, directed by people who know how to have fun with the topic and make it hype AF, and great OPs. Definitely recommend it, especially dubbed, because the localization makes even more gamer. The only flaw is that they can't drop the F bomb.

Bravern might be yaoi AF, but it at least has some cool mecha, hot women in uniform, and humanity fuck yeah going for it. It feels like what Michael Bay Transformers should've been.

Started watching Eminence in Shadow.

Crowbars are a terrible weapon. By which I mean they're basically useless. Anyone who would ever seriously propose going Gordon Freeman on someone has never actually lifted or attempted to swing a crowbar in their life. They are designed for applying shitloads of leverage without bending, and, as a result, are of pretty much uniform density throughout, placing the balance point roughly in the middle. Not only are they difficult to swing (unlike a sword, which is balanced toward the grip), they can't concentrate the blow at the end (like a club or mace).

Wait.

Agree with you on the crow bar

one of these bars on the other hand is a different story although only larger and stronger men who are in shape too boot can actually wield one of these effectively as a weapon

as you can see it gets thicker and heavier towards the far end, meaning it is basically a war club; but you can also thrust with it like a spear - yeah, I know it doesn't have a sharp spear head, but just the force of that iron bar being thrust and/or swung by a large and strong man at something, will break whatever bones it comes into contact with on not only any human but pretty much any animal on the planet

Anybody watching Metallic Rouge,

Saw a few episodes, really liked glasses wearing Choco waifu and the Blade runner visuals and the strong homage to PKD, but overall it was pretty slow with bad pacing.
Might binge the remaining episodes.

Meh, the one that had a bird furry on the cover?

Sorry, not interested.

How hot are the waifus and how yaoi-ish is it compared to Code Geass?

What we need are more anime like Cross Ange, with the Yuri harem of hot mecha pilots.

It's a bird mask. You can see this in the second OP, where he straight up swaps it out for a helmet. This is half of why the dub dialog is so good, because they don't have to worry about lip syncing for the protag's dialogue.

It is super jank, but it's kind of interesting in that jank.

Very yaoi. Waifus are pretty good, but I'm not sure what your standards are. Floor is 7/10 at worst.

Main thing is that I'm not sure how long the show is, so I dunno how much screentime they're going to get overall.

My dude, in the original web novel, Cid's "I am atomic" attack was literally named the Taepodong, because as a Japanese person that was the strongest and most frightening thing he knew of, LOL.

The audiovisual gags are what get me. His gym bag full of delusional chuuni shit making a huge clank when he sets it down. His weighted shoes making the locker creak.

This is my kind of humor.

I really didn't expect this level of effort with Nexus. Not saying they're bad, their previous works as an anime studio just didn't stand out to me audio- or visual-wise

Just finished Season 1. Watching Season 2, now.

"The moon is red. The frenzy has begun. We are out of time."

When Cid dramatically turned and repeated it to the guy he chopped in half, my sides went straight into orbit. This is the most absurd anime I've seen since Excel friggin' Saga. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Can’t go wrong with the classics.

What kind of sick bastard does this to his most loyal minion?

One that is completely fed up with their incompetence and insane bullhonky. He's tried to kill her dozens of times; she just won't stay dead.

Nah passing was the right choice, The MC is absolutely retarded to the point it stops being funny and quickly becomes outright annoying.
Japanese comedies do tend to have an issue with repeating the same joke over and over again, long after it stopped being funny to most people outside of Japan. It's one of the main reasons a lot of anime comedies don't do well in the west; well, that and their love of wordplay-based comedy that doesn't translate easily (or often at all) into other languages.

The last volume of MobuSeka released two days ago. The main story and Marie Route stories are now complete.
The main story apparently ends similarly to the WN (with some minor variations, of course) and Marie Route is basically a bad end with everyone dead, Marie being the last survivor and wishing for a redo; the world somehow grants this and the timeline gets reset to a variation of the main route (Leon meets Olivia earlier)
