Hamas Launches Offensive Against Southern Israel

Eh, Israeli Arabs haven't been a problem, compared to Palestinians or Hamas or Hezbollah.
I said muslims, not arabs.
Some Israeli arabs are muslims, others aren't.
Also, Israel does have a bunch of palestinians who are citizens of israel.
An israeli arab would marry a palestinian. This gave the palestinian citizenship.
and then through that palestinian citizen of israel came all their relatives too. thanks to family unification laws.

Additionally, there is a growing number of israeli arab that self identify as palestinians even if they aren't.

They have been doing terrorist attacks for years. In fact there was just a big terrorist attack in israel by palestinian citizens of israel.

Surveys

In a 2017 telephone poll, 40% of Arab citizens of Israel identified as "Arab in Israel / Arab citizen of Israel", 15% identified as "Palestinian", 8.9% as "Palestinian in Israel / Palestinian citizen of Israel", and 8.7% as "Arab";[27][28] the focus groups associated with the poll provided a different outcome, in which "there was consensus that Palestinian identity occupies a central place in their consciousness".[27]

According to a 2019 survey by University of Haifa professor Sammy Smooha, conducted in Arabic among 718 Arab adults, 47% of the Arab population chose Palestinian identities with an Israeli component ("Israeli Palestinian", "Palestinian in Israel", "Palestinian Arab in Israel"), 36% prefers Israeli Arab identities without a Palestinian component ("Israeli", "Arab", "Arab in Israel", "Israeli Arab"), and 15% chose Palestinian identities without an Israeli component ("Palestinian", "Palestinian Arab"). When these two components are presented as competitors, 69% chose exclusive or primary Palestinian identity, compared with 30% who chose exclusive or primary Israeli Arab identity. 66% of the Arab population agreed that "the identity of 'Palestinian Arab in Israel' is appropriate to most Arabs in Israel."[29]
They have finally finally gotten rid of that stupid family unification law. But the damage has already been done.

Based off the thumbnail I'm guessing Glenn Greenwald is cooming over the fact that Israel struck a residence neighboring an Iranian Consulate. It's clearly an abhorrent insult to the rules based order.

I could never contemplate any civilized country intentionally targeting anything close to a consulate or embassy, much less target a consulate or embassy directly even in the Middle East. It's simply unprecedented in modern history.

I mean with a few exceptions... Which escape my mind ATM.

Well yes but besides the Iranian Takeover of the US Embassy in Tehran in 1979... and the 1981 Iraqi Embassy Bombing in Beirut by Iranian... the 1983 US Embassy Bombing in Beirut... the 1983 Bombing of the US Embassy in Kuwait... the 1984 US Embassy Bombing in Beirut... the 1987 Saudi Embassy Attack and Abduction and Attacks on the French and Kuwaiti Embassies... the 1990 Chinese Embassy Attack in Tehran... the 1992 Israeli Embassy attack in Buenos Aires... the 2008 Car Bombing of US Embassy Personnel in Beirut... the 2008 Shellings of the US Embassy in Sanaa... the 2009 Pakistani Embassy Attack in Tehran... the 2010 Pakistani Embassy Attack in Tehran... the 2011 Attack on the British Embassy in Tehran... the 2016 Attacks on Saudi Missions in Iran...the 2019 Attack on the US Embassy in Baghdad... the 2020 Rocket Attacks on the US Embassy in Baghdad... the 2023 Mortar Attacks on the US Embassy in Baghdad what examples are there of Iran being behind attacks on foreign diplomatic missions?

This is simply unprecedented...

Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but I think chanting "Death to America" while in America as citizens (assumedly) of America kinda feels kinda insurrectionary to me. I dunno.

In any other point in history they’d get the crap kicked out of them for that by actual Americans…

Hamas effectively admitting it doesn't even have 40 living hostages to return in exchange for a cease fire.

Called this months ago.

The remaining missing hostages are either ash and bone fragments, buried in a hole (like the hospital pit they found), or entombed in sealed off tunnels or rooms somewhere... after being raped and tortured, of course.

Israel just needs to fucking end this. The rats are just stalling for time because they know the executioner's blade is hanging above their heads, ready to drop.

Their expected "jihad" didn't materialize because the other Middle-Eastern nations didn't want to know or rug-pulled promised support (e.g. Iran) at worst, condemned them at best, and they're realizing that they're nothing but expendable cats' paws.

He's not bullshitting he really did call this months ago.

If it helps Jor you have earned the right to say I told you so.

I just wish I'd been wrong. :( Being told "he told you so" when it involves the rape, torture, and murder of innocent people is... yeah. :(
They may have to cut ties with the United States to do it; but honestly, I think they'd be better off.
I don't think they'll cut ties with the US: The strategic and aid relationship is too important. However, I don't think the US would put up anything but a "Oh no, Teal'c, stop" (O'Neill Stargate reference, haha) as Israel finishes these rats.
Yep. same here.
Again, being told we were right when it comes to this is... :(

What a beautiful case of selective memory considering the whole overthrowing their government twice, both in 1953 and in 1979, especially egregious is the one in 1979 considering Jimmy Carter was the one who helped Khoimeini.

US had extensive contact with Ayatollah Khomeini before Iran revolution

Documents seen by BBC suggest Carter administration paved way for Khomeini to return to Iran by holding the army back from launching a military coup

Jimmy Carter's engagement with Ruhollah Khomeini - Wikipedia

Western governments wanted the Shah out of power because he nationalized Iranian oil in the 70s and refused to democratize. They viewed Khomeini as a better candidate for their puppetry and believed he would oppose the atheist Soviet Union thanks to his Muslim faith. Khomeini's lies about supporting a democracy in Iran with free elections contributed to the West's support.

Western governments made serious efforts to prevent the Iranian military from launching a crackdown as it had done in '63: at one point General Huyser was meeting with senior Iranian military officials for several hours everyday in an attempt to convince them not to take action. You can read this account in General Huyser's book, "Mission to Tehran".

The Shah was also being encouraged by Western diplomats and acquaintances to abdicate the throne. He details this in his memoirs, " Answer to History".
Khomeini had no interest in supporting the U.S./West. He was an opportunist who took advantage of their naivete and dissatisfaction with the Shah in order to seek power, then let his true colors show. He was not a capable or intelligent leader as his decision to purge the military, continue the war with Iraq past 1982, and take Western hostages caused severe damage to the Iranian nation and its future to say the least.
Or the whole Iran-Contra affair. Or the fact that Israel also helped Khoimeini and Iran.

As we say in Italy whoever is the cause of his own pain should cry for himself. You guys say : "as you make your bed so you must lie in it".
