Eh, I don't have any particular plans as far as shipping goes; I'm content to just let things develop from chapter to chapter (like what you could see with Courtney at the end, there). That said, from what I can remember of the show from way back when some characters are certainly more likely than others to be involved in potential shipping.

And the next challenge... I just watched the episode. We'll see how it goes, but at a glance I do believe you're right. The next chapter will probably be out sometime toward the end of next week, as I've got the rest of this weekend pretty booked, and then work as usual during the week.

Oh, and in regards to "type"... I can honestly say that I'm both the physical and mental type, though at the cost of general social skills, being an introvert by both nature and nurture. I try to get that through in my writing, but I'm not sure how well I'm doing on that front. It'll probably become clearer as the plot advances and different kinds of challenges pop up, though.

Jason actually did pretty good this challenge with being up early. Seems like Jason is a physical and mental player with maybe some potential for schemes from what I saw. Actually would Jason make alliances with some of his teammates intentionally(or unintentionally) and do a few schemes or dirty tricks(asking because of the Chris comparison and willing to just knock the other team out)?

And Eve is still in the game. Can easily guess Jason, Eve and Courtney voted Sadie. Not sure about the others but can see some of the others thinking the same way Courtney did like feeling bad for Sadie and Jason being able to handle Eve. But can still see some not liking that Eve raged like that. Curious how Eve is taking to losing in that way because she probably never was beaten like that physically. Jason getting that Eve respect if nothing else(with potential of alliance but that depends on where Eve lands).

Jason probably will end up making alliances... but likely not until much later in the game unless someone approaches him, first. He can be a bit scheming and is not above dirty tricks at times, but only if he's "triggered" to be so; think of it like escalating only when the enemy does. Or he gets annoyed enough. As for the Chris comparison, that will definitely become a bigger part of the plot as the story goes on. Since Jason is far more introverted than Chris he's less likely to overtly display his "Chris-like" behavior, but it will happen sooner or later, and likely escalate with time.

Yeah, Eva and Sadie were the most voted-for characters this time around. It was never made explicit on the show, but heavily hinted that at the very least the two last people were always the ones who got the most votes. For this story I decided to roll with it and assume an ascending order, starting with the person with the fewest votes (with a random order for people who got the same number of votes; in this case I envisioned both Jason and Duncan received zero votes, but Duncan got his marshmallow first because Chris felt like it given his performance in the challenge).

And yeah, Eva will definitely have some character development as a result of getting her ass kicked. Not sure if it'll come to the fore in chapter 4 or 5, though. We'll see.

So does your SI remember what Heather is like? Well no spoilers if you can't remember but she stands out a touch.

The SI, no; he had his memories of Total Drama sealed away by ROB. Me? I remember the gist of it, including her having a lot of great character development in season 3. The two of them are going to be butting heads a lot due to their respective personalities, that's for damn sure.

Would he make a alliance if he felt threatened or got close to being voted off? As for triggered or annoyed to scheme and play dirty....don't think that will be a problem with Heather being here and other things that will happen. Pretty confident Jason will get a good picture of Heather when the talent show happens. Weirdly think Heather will fail in enraging Jason in the way she will want. Jason seems to be very controlling of his anger and picking his battles so I expect him to target the person who angered him in a way that will really hurt them(whether that is physically or a scheme would be decided on the situation).

Maybe. It depends on how invested he feels in winning at that point, either because of what he thinks ROB will do if he loses or whether anyone gets him riled up enough to go "Fuck it, I'm winning this just to make sure you don't," or anything similar.

And yeah, once Heather gets going and he realizes what kind of game she's playing (which he might not, at first, due to his lacking social skills)? Stuff's gonna happen, is all I'm saying.

Not sure if you know what Heather does at the Talent Show episode. It speaks pretty well of what kind of person she is and in my opinion.....it was pretty bad. Be surprised if Jason doesn't get a picture of Heather from that(at least nothing good). Well if you have Heather do it anyway. If you want to know or not just say so.

Then I won't say anything. I'm sorta doing what you are doing. Basically watching Total Drama again like normal but going back when you do a chapter on a episode.

Jason is showing he is a strong player. One of the first people to jump off the cliff, main people to carry the crates, putting the hot tub together, second person to finish the run, stayed awake for 51 hours out of spite(puts him as the 3rd or 4th person to stay awake on his team I think), and beat Eve in a fight. And it only just started.

For Courtney. I can see why she would like Jason. She got a type and it seems to be bad boys. Jason kind of looks like one from his scars, tattoo and attitude(just doing whatever he feels like doing and saying). Even if not that way can see why she think he's cool. Then there is the previous interactions between the two.

Edit: Actually what would Jason be doing during the opening theme of Total Drama(Man I forgot how awesome the openings are)?

Cool (y)

Yeah, I'm trying to play Jason according to my own strengths and weaknesses and overall personality, with some minor exaggerations for comedy here and there. All that means is he's going to rock some challenges, fail miserably at others, and all the while he hates losing and will keep going out of spite if anyone pisses him off.

Yup, that's pretty much what I'm going for; Jason's appearance and attitude accidentally triggering her bad boy fetish, or whatever you wanna call it. Whether it leads to anything more remains to be seen.

Heh, yeah, the intro does have some awesome scenes, doesn't it? Kinda makes me disappointed they didn't include more of them in the actual show. I can imagine two quick shots of Jason during the intro: one of him getting lost in the woods and looking content, and another of him scaring a bunch of the other campers or maybe throwing something at Chris.

Just watched the next episode again and I think I have a theory on what might happen next(at least a possibility) but not sure if I should say it in thread because of spoilers. If you saw the episode would you like to hear it in PM(or not)?

Thanks. I'm gonna see if I can do it right first and then Edit.

Alright with Katie and Sadie being replaced with Jason and Eve would Duncan even help? Like Jason and Eve are pretty strong and would do pretty well in Dodgeball. With them winning it for the team would this effect Duncan later in game? Duncan helping this episode did get him respect points with his team in canon. By not helping would some players think less of him by him just sleeping and some not changing their opinions?

Yeah, doing this sort of thing with spoiler tags is probably a good idea.

That is indeed something I'm considering. As you say, both Eva and Jason are likely to do well in dodgeball. I haven't begun writing the chapter yet, but there is a very real chance Duncan will end up not helping out in the challenge at all, which in turn could affect his chances later down the line. Given that he's sleeping as a direct result of winning the previous challenge it's unlikely to negatively affect people's opinions of him, but it wouldn't let him improve their opinions, either.

I think you mean Duncan almost winning them the previous challenge(not important for the argument but true). And its been four days since the awake challenge. My guess is so they could actually do the next challenge. So maybe some won't like Duncan is sleeping? Or it won't really change their opinions? Depends on how the challenge goes I guess. Like if it's close but Duncan did nothing.

Yeah, I left out a word there. And it's been four days since the Awake-a-thon started, not since it ended; as seen in episode 4, the dodgeball challenge happens the very next day, which was why Harold snoring through the night was such a big deal for the Bass (and Duncan in particular). So Jason will likely be fairly sleepy as well.
The way things seem to be set up in Total Drama (at least in season 1) is two challenges per week, with either 3 or 4 days between them normally, but because the Awake-a-thon lasted 3.5-ish days the next challenge (dodgeball) ended up happening the very next day. Otherwise it wouldn't have made any sense for Gwen to also be tired that day, as she was sleeping in a different cabin and likely wouldn't have heard Harold's snoring. And if Harold had been snoring and keeping people awake for four whole days then Gwen and Duncan wouldn't have been the only ones having sleeping problems during the dodgeball challenge.

Ah. I got confused on the four days thing. Was going with staying awake that long effected Gwen's and Duncan's ability to sleep properly during the four days.

Anyway all depends on how close the challenge is to try forcing Duncan to join in and if he even does join in or not. But I can see them winning without Duncan. Then it would depend on how much they won to either keep the same opinions of Duncan or it being close which gets certain people thinking differently of Duncan. Heck depending on how well they did some might say they don't need Duncan to join(which can lead to different opinions).
