Vietnamese communists are communists in name only. Ho Chi Minh actually asked the US to tell the French to leave. When we said "no" the USSR said "yes" ... and now some shit's about to go down which included the USSR sending the good stuff to Vietnam by sea because the worst the USN would do to a Soviet ship was a safety inspection while anything sent by land through China would probably be stolen and replaced with a knock-off.

Then why did you write they restored the monarchy? Because they didn't. Monarchy was restored with the help of Khmer Rouge after Vietnamese pulled out of Cambodia.

It'll start with people retaliating when there aren't any cameras or cops around; so, probably not a good idea for any of those "protestors" to go down dark alleys late at night for the foreseeable future.

It takes a whole lot of abuse before normal people are willing to resort to violence and even more before they resort to murder. And with the way conservatives and traditionalists conceptialize violence its even harder to start shit. My money is that the left starts the violence.
