This is why AFAIK socialists were historically hostile towards nationalism unless of course they wanted to coopt nationalism for their own purposes and goals, like the Soviet Union did.

Pitts can be wonderful dogs...however, they are naturally protective/territorial. Training is huge for them, and most owners don't know how to train a dog.
I've never met a mean pitt in my life, and think they are dogs that have been given a bad rap by jackasses that abuse their protective nature for dog fighting purposes.

A lot of it is people getting a dog they can't handle, Like any 100+ pound dog with with the temperate frequently seen in Chihuahua's is going to be a problem.
I've never met a pitty with a chihuahua type attitude.
The pitts I've know all tended to act like muscular huskies or labs, or in one case a grey hound with pitty muscles.
The temperament of a pitt has more to do with how it is raised, more than anything genetic.

When you have a badly behaved and/or untrained small dog, it's annoying. When it's a big dog it can be dangerous. Irresponsible pet owners abound.

I don't know anything about dogs so I did some looking up and found that according to tests, Pit Bulls have a better temperament than Retrievers.
I looked up Retrievers to see why that was so good and found they're giant robot spider demons from hell so I kind of feel like that's damning Pit Bulls with faint praise but apparently it's a standard for dogs.
It does make me glad I'm a cat person.
