I wish. Then again I wish the Libertarian party was less of a joke.
Literally the NH libertarians have taken over the Republican party. Not really a joke. The electoral system in the US hates 3rd parties.

As far as presidential elections go, I'm pretty sold on Vivek. He's a smart Trump who knows how to drain the swamp and wants to do so, while Trump just wanted to but had no idea how.

If elections were tomorrow, i'm voting vivek.

I was a DeSantis guy, but I like Vivek way more.

who is vivek? what did he do?
DeSantis seems to have been the most effective conservative. his battle against disney, and the wins, is really inspiring.
Trump-like policy in a cleaned up, sharper, younger package.

He wants to drain the swamp and is telling us how he'll do it.

He has more charisma than DeSantis, is better at taking tough questions.

And finally, the biggest point for me: he's funded by small donations and his own money. He can be more tough on China and delicate issues because he isn't beholden to super PACS.

He's a true outsider.

I also enjoyed his book, Woke Inc. He demonstrates in thay book that he really understands the culture war issues.

I'm not hating DeSantis, to start out with this.

But Vivek Ramaswamy has a bunch of pretty good plans. First day in office, he pardons Trump, Assange, and Snowden.

He's really good about ESG, in that he's trying to attack it from the private sector by founding Strive Capital, which provides ETFs that you can invest in that aren't ESG controlled, which is a necessary counter point to DeSantis' public sector attack on ESGs.

He wants to fire half the federal workforce, revoke federal public sector unions (which you can do by executive order), 8 year term limits on federal positions, and closing and (maybe) remaking the Department of Education, FBI, and IRS.

To be clear, I'm not hating on DeSantis either. I have been supporting him for longer than he's been in the race, and my opinion on him hasn't changed.

I just like Vivek better.

Maybe DeSantis would make a good VP.

This sounds great... it is basically exactly what I and every conservative friend I have say we would do "if I was the president"

but how do we know it isn't just empty promises?
As a true outsider, there is no track record to show he will walk the walk?
even if he has the will, does he have the ability? Because congress will fight him tooth and nail over this.

Desantis is far from perfect. But he is the most effective conservative in decades with an actual track record of success stories.
The seething of the degenerates as they say they are forced to boycott is state because of his "homophobic" laws like "no sexual shows involving children" his just hilarious.

So far we got pride parades cancelled, furry conventions cancelled, and stripper convention cancelled. All because they said they cannot comply with his law forbidden under 18 involvement.

The last one for example said they had plans to teach an under 10 year old class on pole dancing. And having said children perform pole dances. And that is now illegal thanks to desantis. So they were forced to boycott the state instead of just requiring participants to be over 18 and carding them. big win.

Anyways, Vivik certainly sounds, on paper, better than DeSantis and I would love it if he actually won and followed through on all those promises.

He has some track record, specifically the anti-ESG company already exists (Strive, look it up!), but I do get your point. I think he most definitely has said enough stuff that he's reliably in the MSM hate box, so I don't think he's likely to bow to media.

As for power to do this, I really don't know what exactly he has the power to do, but he is planning on executive orders to find out how far he can push it. I reckon that mass firing and near closure (i.e. firing almost everyone in the building) of a department/agency is viable, but I don't know that he can formally end the Department of Education, just make it like a 1 man department (though likely a little more as it can be required to do things, but still a lot less than what it does now).

But as for political savvy? That's an unknown factor, that depends heavily on who he recruits to help him. Business is not politics, and I hate it when a politician says he's gonna run Washington like a business. It simply doesn't work, because they are fundamentally different things.

Anyway, I see both him and DeSantis as good options for president, with Vivek IMO in the lead. I don't want DeSantis as VP specifically, because he's more useful in Florida, and a VP isn't very useful, but if Trump wins, that's the way forward as a unification ticket.

Lots of emphasis of that buffoon their last Kaiser, too.

In any case, Prussia never would have managed to turn into a 2nd Reich without Bismarck.

The guy had some very un-Prussian characteristics, like being diplomatic, thinking ahead and understanding that lots of people have concerns and interests and how to use/cater to them.

Oh good lord, don’t start with the German/Prussian bitching. You and @ATP look like idiots whenever you try.
