I'm sure we've all had more than enough time to acquaint ourselves with the #MeToo movement, and Cancel Culture in general. Sometimes it's justified; most of the time though, accusations are made and accepted as true without evidence, and innocent people's lives are ruined because of it. Innocent until proven guilty apparently means nothing now.

Take ProJared for instance:

After several months of silence, he posted a video a few hours ago addressing the accusations levied against him by his wife, and several individuals he received nudes from. In it, he explains his side of the story; and importantly, unlike his accusers, provides hard evidence to back it up. If forty minutes is too long to sit though, there are summaries out there; but the gist of it is everyone who was quick to demonize him probably should have waited for evidence, rather than just accepted the accusation as evidence in and of itself.

It's not just him though; there are countless stories of mob justice gone wrong, sometimes even attacking the victims of abuse based on the words of their abusers, that it makes me wonder why it's still happening.

Oh Projared I got fooled hook line and sinker for that news. I didn't go talk about that but I initially believed it due to viewing bias where he dressed in a sailor moon outfit IIRC.

I know the feeling; same thing happened to me. Turns out the guy is just your bog standard deviant; not a pedophile, not an abuser, and not an adulterer. Or at least, not without his wife's permission/insistence.

Yup when it was mentioned she was the one to initiate an open relationship that's when the caution radar pinged.

I suppose the lawsuit with the Broly VA goes here too. What an interesting spiral that one.

Gotta give Projared props to his reaction to Heidi's surprise. He listened to his lawyer unlike the opponents to Vic.

I absolutely love the part where Sarah Silverman got hoisted on her own woke-ass petard.

Your blackface tweets got dredged up and got you fired from a role, honeybunch? Well then, let me play the world's saddest cover of Despacito on the world's smallest violin for you, you hypocritical bitch.

I think that what happened to Sarah needed to happen to her.

She was relying on politics as a crutch, on her identity as a crutch, on her looks as a crutch. Having the outrage mob turn on her forces her to improve her material forces her to become a better comedian, and splits her off from people who don't have a sense of humor.

Now that she's at her lowest point she can grow as an artist and a human being, she can bounce back form this and become the next Joan rivers or she can lay down and die, those are her choices.

Yeah, I followed the Vic Mignogna debacle from the beginning; learned a lot about how dysfunctional the western anime industry has become. Funimation, Anime News Network, even Rooster Teeth; they all did the worst possible thing you could in that situation, and everyone involved seems to want to keep doubling, tripling, and quadrupling down on the false accusations. It's honestly rather pathetic how individuals like Jamie Marchi, Monica Rial, and Ronald Toye seem to think the world works like Twitter; everything I've seen shows that Vic's lawyer is basically shooting fish in a barrel with this case.

When it comes to people who make their careers through wokeness and cancel culture, I won't be holding my breath. They're zealots.

Even a zealot can have a change of heart, once the mob turns on them. Whether or not it sticks, that's another question. Sometimes, they just find a different mob to join.

One can only hope that the learn their lesson, and become better people going forward and preferably seek atonement for what they have done, and hopefully if they are genuine they will be forgiven as things should be. We need the ability for people to atone, and to forgive for society to heal and move forward. This endless and vindictive destructive of the mob does not help society in any manner what so ever.

He's pretty humble on it too. Didn't say it's a slam dunk just that the probability of a successful outcome for Vic is high due to how the other sides behaving.

And the farms man there's a whole lot to say my goodness but it's been interesting no matter all the reees.

You know what I just had a damn moment, "everyone wanted to show that they had the moral high-ground. by kicking me while I was down", that just succinctly explains things so feel, and would describe the exact impresion/sentiment/feeling/etc I get when I watch this happen. He nailed it exactly.

As I remember, I was actually suspicious of the whole thing from the beginning. However, I am not the person to bandwagon on mob outrage and attack people merely on that.

And as I listen, Jared is actually articulating explaining everything I hate about these mob attacks. And really now that I have been convinced of Jared being innocent, or innocent enough, I would want just punishment for his tormentors.

Whew dodged a bullet there. Though then again I never watch a ProJared video so... Jared should sue for damages at the least.
If he can make a case, he probably should. Bullshit like that doesn't fly.

Though, this is coming from the presumption that he actually is innocent, and I am presuming this since this actually has proof unlike these allegations against him.
