Guys, I don't think this purchase is going to happen.

Part of me wonders is it was ever going to happen, or of this was some quick money making scheme (possibly gone wrong) from Musk.

Now news like this comes out. Even if he was serious, he is probably rethinking it now

Actually, I can see this as the manner in which he buys Twitter for a STEEP discount.

I'm betting that Musk knew how bad Twitter was off financially. Now it all has to be made public for the deal to happen, and, as more is revealed, the Twitter is worth less and less.

If there's a legal issue, you can set up the purchase so the previous owners have to escrow a portion of their stock proceeds in order to cover that eventuality.

This plan is absolutely going to fall through. Elon is probably just trying to get the price to crash so he can buy more stock on the cheap and then sell once it boosts.

The price has already crashed pretty bad, Honestly wouldn't be surprised if Twitter goes the way of Myspace in a few years.
