Musk actually buys Twitter.

I just hope he doesn't run for 2024, but he probably will. And I will vote for him if he does, but right now Desantis is my pick, and I would really like him to be the 2024 candidate. I don't think anyone stands a chance against Desantis. Trump, I don't think was a bad president, but he fires up the left too much.

If he does run, it'll be best for him to not be on Twitter spewing out bullshit.

My biggest thing with trump was how often I found myself saying "will you just shut up and let them put their feet in their mouths."
Personally I hope Trump either doesn't run or is made DeSantis's VP pick.

Though I could also be convinced that a DeSantis/Rand Paul would be superior to having Trump on there.

DeSantis is a Nixonian, he won't make a move for the WH yet. He will do it Nixon style, waiting for shit to go beyond the pale for that sweet majority state win so he can get that Reagan/Nixon style 49 state victory for term 2.

Trump would never accept the VP spot, but if Trump insists on running, picking DeSantis as his VP would be the best move he could make, and sets Desantis up for a nice presidential run in 2028.

As I've said, I'd only vote for Trump again grudgingly, and would really prefer DeSantis or Rand Paul as POTUS.

I mean if someone like Boebert or Tim Scott or Ben Carson wanted to run in stead of Trump, I'd be ok with that too.

I'd prefer DeSantis over Trump, but I don't realistically see a 2024 presidential run where trump isn't the republican front runner, I'm hoping for really good 2022 midterm elections for Conservatives so that even if Trump runs and flubs the 2024 presidential race the rightwing will be better positioned than it is now.

Trump has said he would run unless he had 'health issues', so he's given himself an out.

Trump was the bull in the China shop we needed to unmask and expose the corruption in DC, but he has proven he doesn't have the proper judgement when it comes to hiring people, even if Judas Pence was mostly in charge of staffing.

Trump is better as a private citizen building support for other candidates, and doing his whole Truth Social thing, than going back into office.

The SEC's opening an investigation into Musk's buying of Twitter.

They should be investigating Jack Dorsey and Parag Agrawal for confessing to defrauding investors by inflating the number of users for years in a desperate bid to hurt Musk's wallet.

The SEC's opening an investigation into Musk's buying of Twitter.

Read carefully.

This is not about his all out purchase of Twitter, but about the previous stock purchase. He didn't follow regulations on the purchase by reporting it within the time window. He may face penalties for that, but I don't think this will effect the purchase of Twitter at all.

I had a feeling this was too good to be true. I'll bet the deal falls through now.
I think the deal is on hold because Musk wants to know all of what's...'under the hood' and the current Twitter staff are likely trying to find ways to avoid letting Musk see the real numbers before he makes the deal final.

So this is more Musk being a detail oriented techie than the deal dying.

This is actually hilarious to me. Can you imagine, if during the disclosure Twitter is forced to make prior to Musk's purchase of Twitter, that we find out how many accounts are ACTUALLY fake is actually a major percentage? Stock tanks, Musk then pulls his deal...then offers another deal for a fraction of his previous offer.
There's a dead Internet conspiracy fheory floating around. And part of it might actually be accurate on Twitter lol.

Th conspiracy theory states that the internet died years ago, and the vast majority of users are actually just bots.

It's silly, but I watched some accounts in Twitter recently go from 50k followers to like 10 followers.

Twitter might actually be mostly bots.
