After the Soviet Union went kaput, Russia's threat level has decreased significantly.
It's China that's the big problem RN.

If the corporate-government hegemony that controls the US might think that keeping France leftist would allow them to maintain the most control over France, as well as make the most money off of France. If a revolution in France that threatens to overturn the Leftist government happens then the US might intervene and try to stop the revolutionaries. The US has a long history of intervening in other countries for the sake of profit, be it through the CIA or sending in the marines or dropping bombs or training up another nation's soldiers or whatever. Parts of the US military engaged in war in Syria, even though that was treason because neither President Trump or Congress had agreed to do so. And ofcourse, the media will cover it up/push it to the back of the papers/or spin it.

Honestly they shouldn't have sent anymore warnings. As it is, they're being watched, and I don't doubt for a second that their government will go gestapo on them and try to quietly lock them all up a few at a time before putting on some big show trial. And given the reaction that there was to the first warning, I doubt the second is going to garner any better of a response. If anything it will probably just escalate things. It would have been better for them to just put a plan together and just act.
