The arms dealer who was the inspiration for the Lord of War movie got released in a swap for the WNBA player.

How soon is it before he goes back to starting world war 3?

Who am I kidding? He can get started at Ukraine bypassing sanctions for Russian interests.

@bintananth so you donknow the reason the F117 was lost was due to complacency of flying the same route every time right? They knew it was there, they couldn't shoot it with lock on so they got lucky

Um ...

The USAF thought that radar could not detect an F117. Colonel Zoltán Dani completely disabused the USAF of that belief with extreme prejudice.

I don't know how valid this is, but elsewhere I saw someone comment that he's been in prison for over a decade, his network dismantled, and his connections largely irrelevant because they're either out of power, also imprisoned, or just not as important as they used to be.

A credible argument that it's worth having a US citizen back (even a dumb one) in exchange for someone like that. If it's true.

It can't detect it.
The aircraft flew in the same spot over and over, and eventually you can notice that you arnt getting a normal return. It was completely invisible but it was close enough that unless you saw it over and over like what he did, it wouldn't have been noticeable.

I know how Radars work better then anyone here. They got lucky by blind firing where they knew it would overfly

Nice appeal to authority there but it won't hold up. They actually could and did detect, target, and hit a "supposedly" undetectable stealth aircraft after sunset when you were - according to your profile - less than two weeks old.

....you do know the radar used for that is still used today right? And that the Colonel literallynsaid they knew it was flying there.
They couldn't see it on radar but knew it wad there and blind fired

He did the SAM equivalent of finding a "silent hole in the water" and targeting that.

According to the Russian narrative they are losing because they aren't fighting Ukraine. Ukraine is a puppet state controlled directly by America and it is America's soldiers fighting in Ukrainian uniforms that are winning against Russia.

Russian propaganda is as fantastical and confusingly nonsensical as worst acid trip imaginable.

I know for a fact if American troops were fighting Moscow would have fallen by the second month. When unencumbered by idiotic politics the American juggernaut gets things done.

I find it that both Russians and Western analysts tend to forget one very simple thing: people in defense of their country are a very tough nut to crack.

Russian Ambassador to Kazakhstan made noises about 'DeNazi-fiying Kazakhstan' and conducting a special operation there and even trying to ban the Kazakh language.

Hearing Rumors the Kazakhs are moving armor towards their border with Russia, out of precaution.

Never thought I'd see the day Kazakhstan was having to worry about Russia invading them because Moscow had gone just that stupid.

He does bring up a less obvious point about possible Russian reactions to the oil price cap. They won't be able to find enough buyers willing to ignore the cap anytime soon because some of the major current ones refuse to, and if they decide to reduce production, they can only reduce it so much, even disregarding the need for revenues, but for technical reasons alone, because in Siberia not keeping the oil moving can cause pipeline issues that will be a huge pain in the ass to clear and restart production ever again.
Also China won't be willing to go far to try save Russia's ass in this.

Ah, yes, let us listen to oil-related predictions from the guy who predicted that the USA would not be importing any oil by 2020 and become isolationist...
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

EDIT:

Actually if Biden hadn't delibrately sabotagued our oil industry he would be right.

What we are experiencing now is an entirely self inflicted wound.
Yeah, yeah, sure, according to your projection that never came to be...should have is not an argument.
https://www.investopedia.com/articl...15/cost-shale-oil-versus-conventional-oil.asp

it is more expensive and you get a gusher that produces lots of oil for a short while, then you have to drill more.

Very high oil proces and very low interest rates made it possible, ESG and high interest rates will make it harder to finance new projects.

Also, Trump was president throughout 2020, so your excuse goes out the window.

Techs getting more advanced by the day and shows a lot of promise as in honestly surprised we had so much progress in shale tech in such a small time frame
Yeah, sure, sure it is.

Wanna link to something that shows your claims have actual substance behind them.

"but technology will do x,y,z..." because you wish it to doesn't quite cut it.

The quality of the deposit actually accounts for much of the price, and the Permian is prime real estate, and there are some indications that it is not as large as you might think.

Also, since it is a very labor intensive process compared to regular oil well extraction inflation and interest rates will hit it.
pretty soon the 50$ breakeven will snake up to above 60 IMHO, and because of all the green reeing against the industry investors want a nice, fat premium to fund it.

It's not the poor peasants who use natural gas for heating, lol. It's mostly Germany's city population, oh the irony. Especially the shitlib ones who listen to the establishment whining about muh CO2. Did i mention that Germany's obsession with relying on gas specifically is mostly about their muh CO2 obsessions (it emits less than alternatives), and Germany has voted the party most obsessed about it into the governing coalition? Also the party who for decades insisted that there is nothing stupid with being highly reliant on gas specifically from Russia rather than a diversified supply chain?
Perhaps if Germany wasn't packed with Russian spies they wouldn't be taking such a suspicious pattern of decisions. After all, Germany is not a country famous for its poverty and peasantry. There are many countries poorer than Germany (as in most of EU) who are less reliant on Russian gas, somehow. And with cheaper electricity too, somehow.
What a mystery...

What's quite interesting is that Schroder was even more of a Russian ass-kisser than Merkel was. It's as if Germany gained a grudging respect for the Russians after the latter severely mauled them during WWII or something.
