The new bridges near Chernobyl changed the equation, as did the First Guards being there and now the recognition of the DRP/LPR independence. Peacekeepers are moving in, now we see how things go from here.

Dude, he claimed that a document was written in Russian, then when I called him out he claimed that it was in Serbian, and it isn't that, either.

He is peddling fake news outright or is gullible enough to believe them.
I thought he was in Military Intelligence or something.Where, exactly, in an Eastern European sequel of "Our man in Havana"!?!
If he believes that Russia is the primary enemy of the USA then at least he should learn some basic Russian, or to recognize the difference between one slavonic language and another.

Funnily enough, just to back up his statement, he typed what it says into a translatoe and it said it RXACTLY the same.

But guess what, Putin has proved he is going to invade. When DNR/LNR are both part of Ukraine and that means it is being invaded.

But hey, come the end if the week when Kiev is being siezes you will still suck of Putin going "See no invasion! Liberatoon!"

I linked you to the Russian wikipedia of that particular Russian ministry, that is the proper spelling.
Use google translate and type in "Ministry of foreign affairs of the Russian Federation" and check what pops out.
Your Serb either doesn't know what he is talking about or is trolling you.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that things in Kiev are going to turn out similarly to how they did in Kabul.

What about the odds of eventually expanding East Ukraine into Kharkiv or even the rest of the Donbass, for that matter? Mariupol would make a nice port for it, after all.

The elite are fleeing in large numbers and Zelensky has been missing for hours. There was also weird military movements around Kiev; wouldn't be surprised if the civilian government has entered collapse and the Army is preparing to step in.

As for today's events in general: God grant victory to Russian arms, if Ukraine is foolish enough to start something.

FWIW, in either early October or early November 2021, in a private Twitter message to an online friend, I speculated about the possibility of Russia invading Ukraine and installing a nominally neutralist Yuri Boyko-led government in the parts of Ukraine under Russian occupation outside of the Donbass.

But Husky, it isn't an invasion, just Russians going into Donbass, which is now Sovereign. I mean only Russia thinks so but apperently they are the good guys here...
