Mortis gods are useful, but only as a background story. The Mortis gods were just an incredibly dumb idea in general, and ought to have been cut.
I'm still pissed about them destroying all the lore about Mandalore in favor of these "New Mandalorian" soyboys and weaklings.Agreed. But then, I think that about 90% of TCW. Should have stuck with the original idea and just had Ashoka being the padawan of another Jedi Master and doing their one thing during the Clone Wars.
Thanks a lot Lucas
Clone Wars was literally a kids show that simplified years worth of Legends comics into something kids could understand and like.I disagree about most of The Clone Wars. They contradict Legends & there shouldn't have been an attempt to incorporate them into it, but they're mostly fine and don't really have any huge issues that weren't already endemic to the PT and Legends. I'd say they arguably do a better job than the PT at a lot of it's stuff, although they admittedly had a bit of a rough start.
The Mortis gods were exceptionally awful worldbuilding.
In essence, a cash cow. And a successful one it was.
All in bold are true. TCW had very few clone commandos besides Gregor and that one scene with Delta squad, more or less peanuts to placate the crowd. Quinlan Vos, meme supreme was also cut down to almost nothing. To which I say; the Clone Wars era comics and stories already did that before TCW came along.
All TCW did was make Anakin bland, Obi-Wan nearly constantly sarcastic, Grevious into a complete failure and Dooku into a cardboard cut out.
Dathomir was simplified to just the Nightsisters when there were many other clans, with the Nightsisters just an extremist group.
And many other bad things.
For that reason, i regard the Legends comics as canon and TCW to be Filoni's shitty cash cow fanfic.
