Have to honestly say this really did make me bust out laughing. Well done, sir.

As to the Rise of Skywalker...I think I got spoiled on the ending of a returned Palpatine killing Kylo Ren, him and Rey making out in what I presume is a deathbed moment, Rey being Palp's daughter/granddaughter, and then putting him down.
Not quite sure where the "Rise' of Skywalker is in that storyline progression...And I don't really care. I thought I would even after TLJ, but I don't. It's a rehashed plotline from the EU, so there's not even much novelty to it, and Neither Rey nor Finn nor Poe have any potential plot that intrigues me.
I'm curious how Lando plays into things, I suppose.

As to the Rise of Skywalker...I think I got spoiled on the ending of a returned Palpatine killing Kylo Ren, him and Rey making out in what I presume is a deathbed moment, Rey being Palp's daughter/granddaughter, and then putting him down.

Even better/worse ... they're cousins since the comics heavily imply that Palpatine created Anakin.

I really enjoyed this film. It's easily the best of the Disney bunch. Fixed up Rian Johnson's fuckups and delivered a good or at least satisfying end to a controversial trilogy. I really enjoyed the return of Palpatine.

Better than I expected, but my expectations were oh so very low.

It was dumb, it wasn't Star Wars, it was trash fanfic but pretty trash fanfic.

Needed more Palpatine. Like 2 hours more of him hamming it up. Acting wasn't bad but the actors generally have never been the weak link. Just a really weak plot and bog standard generic progression.

Plenty of nostalgia nods again but far more blatant. One review said 'If the best and most memorable bits of your film are the bits of other films, you've failed.'

Wasn't offensive or malicious like the last one, just very dumb and shallow. Waste of time and money really, which sums up the entire sequel trilogy. it means nothing, it adds nothing, it is just there.

A lot of plot hole too from what I understand, not just in regard to the 2 previous trilogy( I am not talking about the expended universe, because they simply don’t care about it) but even within this trilogy.

I suspect most plotholes exist because dear Johnnie-boy wanted to be "daring" and "subverting our expectations".

It has been pointed out on reddit that Rey is the perfect personification of your average USA white girl, and their cultural appropriation. Think about it: She's the descendant of the Palpatine line, she appropriates the name of the Skywalkers and various artifacts of them for herself, and worse, since she had a vision where she turned Sith, we have to assume that her bloodline is tainted with the Dark Side.

But see the original OP for yourself. I find it fairly convincing, but I'm biased.
