The Internet of Bodies and the Plot to Enslave Mankind

Human beings always insist on learning everything the fucking hard way.

My money.

There are going to be a whole lot of varables you simply cant account for, and that it will all end in tears and blood shed and when its all over western civilization will go hard traditionalist and inovation will become a dirty word once more.
The problem that we have is that the ruling class want to utterly remove most people on this planet from the competition of life, and convert us into serfs or slaves (as opposed to free landowners) while establishing themselves as rentier-overlords who own all property and rent it out to us in order for us to live.

They present this as a drive for "sustainability", but it's really just an attack on private property. They aren't even discreet about that part, either. They openly promote the idea of taking products and turning them into services.

What kind of world has no privacy, no private property, and mass surveillance with implanted nanotechnology? That's slavery with a smiley face on it. The chains are invisible, but they're still there.

People who are trying to bring about a system this blatantly immoral won't care about the side effects or safety issues with these technologies at all. In fact, to these Neo-Malthusian eugenicists, they're a bonus. Someone dies? Whatever. That's a win for depopulation and degrowth, and it makes more room for people with the genetics that allow them to withstand the implants with minimal side effects. These people don't give a damn about product safety.

Maybe so. but I say its high time we start pushing HARD to outlaw this stuff worldwide. Preempt this shit before it takes off further. As in 'any nation that gets caught pursuing this gets a faceful of a can of instant sunshine'.
"Hey you, people who want to oppress us! You'd better not oppress us using this specific method, or you'll be sorry! Yeah, we're going to sic you on you; so don't try it, and stick to the approved methods of oppressing us!"

That’s nice and all but my position remains the same.
Your position is short-sighted, self-defeating, and just plain ignorant on every conceivable level.

Okay. And how would you do it then?

To be blunt, if we can't fix our shit within the next generation or so, we'll be going full 1984 regardless of the tools at the establishment's disposal. And since fixing it involves removing all the bastards from power, and keeping all those like them out for the foreseeable future, AI isn't worth worrying about either way. If we're lucky, it'll be invented solely to benefit humanity by people much smarter, more moral, and empathetic than ourselves; and if we're not, well there probably won't be anyone around smart enough to do so anyways, because smart people might get ideas and rebel against Big Brother.

Me, reading the section of Neurotribes praising persons on the spectrum for being trailblazers of science fiction, the most destructive artistic movement in Earth's history:

You think science fiction is the most destructive artistic movement in Earth's history?

Are you forgetting that there are just as many dystopian stories warning about the consequences of utopian authoritarians as there are utopian propaganda pieces, if not more?

This is pretty much it. The problem isn't that this technology exists. The problem is that it's being raised up into the hands of the worst people imaginable, who have the most despicable intentions for mankind.

New vid, just came out a few days ago.

Why are people so excited about something that clearly has so many unethical applications, and is basically an excuse for unmitigated mass surveillance and manipulation of people's behavior? What sort of person says something like Internet of Plants with a straight face? What sort of audience gives these people a round of applause instead of gasps of horror?

Oh it's simple right now all of them imagine themselves emperor and haven't realized only one man gets to be Caesar. When the realization hits that's when the bodies will hit the floor
At least some of them probably already know; they're just arrogant enough to expect to come out on top once the dust settles, and the bodies have cooled.

Rather part of new Nomenclature, when all others would be turned into soveks.
Problem is - Nomenclature with modern technology would be not big enough for all....

Someone pointed out to me that Ozgur B. Akan was listed on the WEF's site:

When I saw that he was linked to IEEE and Georgia Tech, I wondered if he had any connection to Ian Akyildiz, and sure enough.

Akan received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering in 2004, after studying at the Broadband and Wireless Networking Laboratory at Georgia Tech under the supervision of Ian Akyildiz.

Again, Ian Akyildiz is the guy who wrote this paper:

Read these presentation slides, and then tell me with a straight face that they aren't trying to turn us all into organic robots:

Who in the fuck do these people think they are? Does anyone out there even vaguely comprehend what will happen if this technology matures and becomes commonplace?

Human beings will lose all personal agency and autonomy, with basic impulses like aggression and survival instincts "smoothed out" to produce a more docile and compliant citizen. People will have their emotional states and most private thoughts monitored 24/7. Intelligence agencies will have a back door into everyone's bodies.

They will be able to alter people's emotional states, ensuring the blind obedience of one's own civilian population while also disrupting the civilian populations of rival nations by heightening aggression, fractious behavior, et cetera. This isn't even speculation. They are not discreet about their intentions. They are openly pushing for the adoption of a "neurowarfare" paradigm, while at the same time pushing for an "internet of bodies".

In the end, the consequences of all of this will be dire.

And to think people where bashing on me for wanting all this research stopped no matter what.

Except you were focusing entirely on fearmongering over the development of human-level AI; which isn't even necessary for any of this.

And what do you think will be running all those nano-technology and everything else? Or that AI can’t be used to do equally heinous stuff?

Personally I worry less about them achieving control and more about the new class of supermen the WEF clowns will create.

I mean, when Tyr Anasazi and Khan Noonien-Sing throw the groomers off buildings instead of doing their bidding, it'll be funny as hell. But they're eventually gonna run out of groomers...

The whole internet of bodies has some hidden problems...Congrats Ransomeware just turned off your pancreas. Won't start it again untill you pay so much money. Skynet takes over? It doesn't need to nuke humanity. Nope. Shut off everyone's heart.

If you don't feel like watching this from beginning to end, then at least watch the 40 minutes spanning from the 20 minute mark to the 1 hour mark.

This is where things are going. This is the trajectory we are presently on.

On the contrary. Only an AI could automate all of it.
