I maintain there is fat chance of all Mandelorians following the dogma of The Watch. Din will see that when other Mandos say I am not keeping a Bucket on my head 24/7 around outsiders. And I hear that exact statement flying out of Sabine's mouth.Season Three is here.
Almost through the first episode and Uhhh... They really invested in the "Humor" this episode.
I'm so interested in this episode I'm live posting about it while it's still playing.
Also these Pirates seem pretty cringeworthy. I hope they all die off screen.

I imagine the mandalorians will go through yet ANOTHER civil war and Din we decide that somtimes tradition means doing the same stupid stuff for too long.
That could happen.Likely w

That only happens if Din engages his Gray Matter and realizes He won the Darksaber in Martial Combat. In doing so He is Mandelore and outright out ranks the Armorer. Meaning he sets the rules not her. That and I think it will be revealed the Armorer was a follower of Maul.Or he'll bring them together.
The helmet does make it seem that wayThat could happen.

So regarding the rumors/reports they do mention Gina Caranos character by name in this episode. So be interesting to see if Cara Dune returns. I doubt they'd bother mentioning her if she wasn't going to come back.
I think there is a good chance she is the woman with dark hair next to Saxon in this vid.
However, it sounds like the Children of the Watch as a group broke away from Mandalorian mainline culture before the Clone Wars, so maybe it is just a group he influenced via the Armour.

Oh course a new Mandalore being seated would be a Event of galactic importance, and that would bring the Empire and Rebels out into the open to engage, diplomatically or militarily, with the new leader of the Mandos.
I could see it being something that either draws Thrawn out, or happens after his defeat as a conclusion to a story arc.
Their ship is pretty cool, design-wise. Of course, now that our protagonist has gotten away from them in under a minute, it's been telegraphed to be less-than-threatening to the audience. Very poor writing. Could've done way more with that.
Good point about Paz; he's a surviving Visla, that point's heavily to this being the remnant of Maul's Mando's.I am going with Children of the Watch............ Death Watch. Add in the fact that a Vizsla is follower of the Armorer practically cements they are the same as Death Watch.
She might not know who all is still around from themGood point about Paz; he's a surviving Visla, that point's heavily to this being the remnant of Maul's Mando's.
Kinda surprised Bo-Katan would want to leave Rook, if it is her, and a surviving Visla to their own devices, if she knows of the group.
Kind of what Zachowon just said. Bo-Katan may not know about who are all the current members of the Watch. After all she has only met Din in the modern time period.Good point about Paz; he's a surviving Visla, that point's heavily to this being the remnant of Maul's Mando's.

The destruction of Mandalore is pretty directly indicated to be the direct Imperial retaliation for the open rebellion on Mandalore that was sparked in Rebels Season 3 and 4.I can't be arsed to look it up again, but I think Bo-Katan said in this episode that the Children of the Watch "split off long before the destruction of Mandalore". But that destruction (by the Empire) happened after the events of Rebels.
…
There was a brief snippet in one of the BoBF episodes where it was mentioned that the Children of the Watch believe that Bo-Katan somehow caused the destruction of Mandalore by accepting the Darksabre as a gift (seen in Rebels), instead of winning it in combat. Later, in The Mandalorian, we get hints that Bo-Katan believes this as well. (She refuses to accept the sabre from Din.) We also hear that the Children of the Watch survived the putge because they were "cloistered on Concordia".
and you’ll notice that Moff Gideon seems awfully alive for someone supposedly convicted and executed for war crimes by the New Republic.
No, I mean Gideon was supposedly *already* executed. Din mentions it in Season 1, saying it should have been impossible for it to be Gideon.Only Din Djarin stated that he thought it likely that Moff Gideon would be executed by the New Republic IIRC. I don't recall Cara Dune, the only New Republic representative there, stating he'd be executed. She prevented him from killing himself because she wanted him specifically for interrogation.
