Yea, a group of feminists, referred to as "goddesses" groomed young men for puppet positions in the govt. allowing them to take it over.

"conspiracy theories" were swirling around and the media was doing its best to suppress and discredit them. "crazy conspiracy theorists" they were saying... right up to the day where the prime ministers gave a tearful confession that yea, he was groomed since a young age to be a puppet ruler for the "goddesses" cult.

I'm curious as to why you think this?

The 50's is when a fair number of convenience appliances, like vacuum cleaners, started to make housework a lot less strenuous than it had been throughout history.

What was so terrible about the life of a married woman in the 1950's?

I have been one. It's not terrible, but you have to understand that your contribution to family is NOT measured in dollars, but in the impact you have on your kids and your spouse's wellbeing.

If my wife was able to bring in lots more money than me as a lawyer CEO or whatever sure. It would be annoying people thinking that I’m unmanly but fuck them. In that case househusband is the right choice.

Or their experience is radically different for any number of reasons. Your mother is not other people and other people are not your mother.

Stop projecting your mommy issues. These women seem plenty happy and are enjoying being a housewife and showing that off with TikTok as a medium.

And no it's not manly at all, unfortunately. the lack of real masculine role models has given way to influencers on tiktok with their own issues to gather followers and yes among those are people who argue commodifying women for your personal profit is based.

Honestly, I'm hoping to see corporate cultures come to an end period. Everyone talks about how bad it is for women when the reality is it's not good for men either. MOST People were meant to work by the sweat of their brow (Even if it's something small) not rot in a cubicle pushing pencils and spouting useless jargon trying to make invisible numbers go up. Young men AND women are leaving the cities to escape to the countryside sometimes leaving the US altogether and finding themselves happier and more fulfilled. the Luddites may have been right in their fears about the consequences of automation they were just a couple of centuries off in terms of when the consequences would occur.

I think we can all agree, or at least I hope we can all agree, that emotionally abusive relationships are a bad thing.

I also think it is, to put it charitably, a rather large stretch to say all or even a large plurality of 50’s housewives were emotionally abused.

exactly so why is it so strange to you that women who historically were focused on the household find out that they actually prefer to keep hearth and home over going out and working 40 hours a week at a corporation and sending their kids to be raised by other people for most of their childhood. the social media aspect of it is kinda weird I agree. but that is social media in general. women got gaslighted into believing that taking care of your family is a form of oppression but working for some asshat corporation is liberating. it was always going to end up failing.
