As for American's willingness to act, some of it has come down to the fact that places like reddit and the like are left leaning. True to an extent; but on the other hand, if the Republican's side with the RINOs, they are going to have to deal with a lot of pissed of voters, which could cause them plenty of problems in the short and long term. Not to mention that you do have at least some Republican's who are genuine Trump-style populist or are siding with him.

A 6000 page bill should not exist. We need constitutional limits on the size of legislation with clear avenues of enforcement. I think the best bet would be to make legislators liable through malice or negligance for any damages done by laws not read in full before the vote, and strip legislators of all of immunity that could apply to that immunity.

The problem is that the constatution doens't have strong enough enforcement for such a rule if you leave it at that. That is why I added the liability and loss of immunity to it.
