Warhammer Warhammer General discussion thread: Now with 100% more Space Marines

Considering Perturabo&Iron Warriors had ''only'' 70 worlds (according to Horus Heresy TT Codex book 3: Extermination), and could still produce a Legion of 180000 Astartes + a fleet of a hundred capital ships + thrice that in Escorts (they had a 100 capital ships according to the same TT book + same book says the Iron Warriors fleet at the Battle of Phall was 400 ships), how huge could Perturabo have swollen his legion and fleet if he had crashed to Ultramar instead and given access to the 500 worlds and its industrial might?

I feel like he would have probably grown Iron Warriors well beyond the 250000 Astartes that was Ultramarines at their height, and built a fleet that would have rivaled (or maybe even surpassed) Imperial Fists' over 1500 warships.

RON/PLC was a wonderful country.
Thank goodness they folded Warhammer Poland into Kislev or they'd be proper fucked being wedged between Kislev and the Empire of Man.
Just to think what a pain in the ass Empire and kislev fans would have if such Poland!Fantasy aka Lechia existed, a country that single-handedly kicks the Empire in the balls in its strength and effortlessly. A country that the waves of Chaos regularly crash against, unable to conquer it. A country impossible to assimilate by its neighbors, a constant power for centuries. Itd.

Everyone would be screaming about a plot armor, worse than the Tau of Wh40k has, that unrealistic, impossible.
It's just a shame that it would just be a reflection of the real history of Poland. So yes, it would be fucked.... For Empire and Kislev and the hearts of their fans. 😝

You know, as GW does seem interested in “not so much grey but less horrifyingly black” factions to a certain extent, I’m surprised “Space Persia” hasn’t shown up yet. I mean, the Persians were still an expansionist empire with plenty of their own cruelties and more than few despots on the throne, yet they were one of the nicer people around in their time.

In that regard I think “Space Persia” could half succeed where the Tau failed as a concept. Still, wouldn’t them to be the “good guys” or anything, but it would make a vaguely interesting conflict between them and the Imperium.

Which is a shame, because a Space Persia having super soldiers based off the Immortals (the ten thousand strong elite bodyguard of Persian Kings) would have been quite cool.
You could always make a custom legion with a Space Immortal Marines paintjob.

The Immortals in 300 were completely unrealistic and stupid as shit, but the mask designs were pretty cool as a base, if repainted in silver and gold: Something like this on a Primaris or Firstborn helmet would look sweet.

Of course, you could always mix the design with something more Aztec, Mayan, Olmec, or Incan influences.

And there's always designs inspired by traditional Oni or Samurai masks.

Mix and match to your heart's content.

We've seen Ancient Egyptian influences in Loyalist and Chaos designs (such as in Thousand Sons), so why not others?

Although, thinking on it, one inspired by Celtic or the Picts could be pretty cool.
