I think it helps to have long distance communications and people moving around, so even if they’re not Californian, the Californian PC culture affects their mindsets

If the rather PC entertainment industries finally collapse or start making moves to change things, it maybe a signal that would scare them

Entertainment when it changes tends to change very rapidly.

A whole lot of studios deeply resent being forced to lose money on woke garbage, being forced to leave behind their hedonistic lifestyles and living under the jack boot of psudo intelectual assholes. Knives are being sharpened and long standing grudges will be settled but not during an election year when so much is riding on the outcome.

It does? Well, they get stuck on what is thougjt to be trendy pretty quick but I think yeah, the ones who haven’t bought into it will get pissed or show their pissed offness

I thought the majority of the entertainment industry bought into it, which was why they let people like Anita Sarkeesian or Zoe Quinn do a tour or have a position and guys like Manveer Heir said stuff during Mass Effect Andromeda

As said by @Abhorsen Hollywood was already left leaning and I think many other entertainment industries were already very Left Leaning, it’s in part why they look to really really really believe it all and it maybe more persistent than things like “the dark age of comics”

Maybe it’s mainly the lower level employees or guys who put in work in-terms of coding for videogames, making the action, choreography, CGI and the artists like Frank Cho that would rebel

First, they listen to anyone on twitter who talks. Second, actors don't care if you are a fan, they care if you pay money to see movies.

Ultimately, with Hollywood, or any large group that tries to make a profit, assume money is what motivated actions and you won't often be wrong.

Problem is, they’re also convinced about whom they’ll be getting said money from and that said whom will come in droves

So yeah, money at the end, though for some or to varying degrees I do think they have a sort of ego boost from thinking themselves revolutionaries

Okay I kind of wonder do the failure of birds of prey the dropping ratings of Batwoman and Doctor Who along with a few others is this a sign of people getting sick wokeness versus a sign that people's Ewing habits have changed for streaming services? After all isn't plus launched in December and that's what we've seen the increase of failures. Maybe it's possible that all these box office in television failures certainly are a sir baited by hostile online discussion but very likely it's just a matter of they weren't going to do good anyway and you just have a lot of people eager to talk about their failure. See Star Trek Picard which also arguably has a book Miss to it release a lot of people complain about with the Star Wars franchise

Is it failing in the ratings? And if this is a return to form Maybe it's a matter of we need new material and can't just do reboots anymore even if we asked for them

You know what you said sorta reminds me of some old Marvel comics series I read like Secret Warriors, Avengers The Initiative and Avengers Academy

Turns out going by the wiki, their characters haven't been much in circulation or reappearance....sad

Maybe when I go back to regularly reading the current comics they'd be back

I doubt since it is temporary and they have insurnce that will cover some of it. Disney also has some deep pockets that will help too.


So the shut down of the cruises and parks will hurt but Disney will survive and won't be selling IPs like Marvel or Star Wars.

If you are looking at companies that will have problems look to some like Six flags which does not have the other revenue streams to helps cover any loses. But they also have insurence and will he able to secure loans to recover. Truly if anyone goes under it will be the family restaurant, small play houses and simlar companies. They don't have the massive insurnce policy, have tight margins, little war chests and poor ability to secure new loans. Companies like Disney can find a bank will to loan them 500 million. Bob's dinner will have trouble securing a 100,000 loan to tide them over.

Honestly I expect Congress to pass some kind of bail out or relief for companies like Airlines to smaller ones like Broadway or even bars. It is election year and lost jobs is bad press.

The only true way to know Would be to compile a list of needlessly socially activist movies "The Woke Cinematic Universe" and see how they perform in the Box Office. Captain Marvel and Black Panther being good MCU movies first would skew the ratio of course, as well as the Last Jedi for the simple reason it's Star Wars.

But you'd still have flicks like Terminator: Dark Fate, Ghostbusters 2016, Charlies Angels (presumably?), Birds Of Prey, Oceans 8 etc that were based on popular properties.
 


This is entertaining for stupidity. Intentionally using old style art and the actual VA to shit on old fans. They might as well animate everyone to stare at the screen and give the audience the middle finger before mooning them with farts coming out.

Characters who can see through the Fourth Wall are in the end just characters and possibly subject to the author’s biases and asshole-ness and are possibly “avatars” for them

I think The Infamous Man on SB and FFN once used Deadpool and Kotomine that way and regretted that behavior sometime later

I remember in college someone discussing how urban planning was messed up because we were trying to imitate other nation’s styles
