every day more evidence comes out, more people get pissed off about the lockdowns and Fauci makes more enemies with powerful people and more of his allies fall. The power of the democratic party on pretty much every level is degrading.

A party cant put out maximum energy like they did for 5 years and not get tired, the media as an insitution has lost a lot of viewership and money and reputation. Their not defeated or destroyed but the writing is on the wall. They lose the house next year no matter what they try and more and more its looking like a blood bath.

And after 2022 Fauci doesn't have enough people like that woman to defend him and he wont be worth the political capital to protect.

That aside, I think the Democrats are mad if they don't throw him under the bus pronto. He is very quickly turning into a political liability that could cost them dearly if they circle the wagons. And if they get hammered this year, their chances of losing 2024 go through the roof.

Political realinment, Trump rebuilt the republicans as a populist fraction and Biden responded to that by trying to centralize the entire establishment into the democratic party. To be honest its not a bad idea, an establishment party can be really successful, but establishment parties need to be competent and give people a sense of normality.

They screwed up when they simply didn't declare victory and move on once they got into office. Everything since then has been doubling down on bad tactics and ideas.

Yeah, Roberts is Bush's legacy, and it stinks as much as other parts of it (Iraq War/Patriot Act); Kavanaugh however...it seems like all the effort Trump and the GOP went through to get him on the court has been rather wasted. Kavanaugh seems to just follow Roberts lead on everything.
