That would have caused a general uprising in Slovenia.

So far here, just some rioting and burning.
Also, word is that hospitals are seeing people show up with alcohol withdrawal symptoms.
In the long run health wise that is a good thing. Some people are well Alcoholics that need to quit drinking. And have been told to quit drinking by both Family and Doctors. So if this gets them on the wagon then it is good. The government's "help" showing its results
That's idiotic, politicians are smarter than that in Poland, they know nothing good would come out of that, including for the purpose of making people keep social distancing. It's so far been happening in parts of the country a good distance from where I live.
Part of the problem, going by what I pick up from local social media, is the government's ban on the sale or transport of anything alcoholic during the period of the "lockdown".
Some people really miss their booze.
The tide is turning. China's efforts to deplatform Taiwan have failed.
We are. Now I can't speak for all countryfolk but my home's pretty rural and in general:Yeah, but why aren’t the countryfolk paranoid AF
This is terrible. Where will you get meat?
To be fair to them, past a certain point you'll likely see more people dying because of a poor economy then you will because of Corona. It's all well and good if you're not ill but that's cold comfort if you wind up homeless and/or starving because you lost your job. And there's only so much the government can do to make up for such things. You've got people one the right saying the Corona virus is nothing to worry about, because the economy is more important.
Seems rather heavy handed getting big brother over people outside in remote areas.
A police authority fetish? I sometimes hear about that in the UK.I can understand other places, but why the hell are they going after people camping in places like the woods.
Because sadly you do get careless campers that cause forest and brush fires in remote areas. It really is a common thing.I can understand other places, but why the hell are they going after people camping in places like the woods.
I'm not denying that, but if we prioritize the economy above people's health, that's likely to cause issues too. Ideally, a balance should be found; but I'm not sure anyone knows what that would look like, because there's a lot of misinformation being spread around, on top of the fact that we still don't fully understand the capabilities of the Corona virus. I just don't think telling people to ignore it and go back to work is the right thing to do at the moment, especially when it runs the risk of making the situation far, far worse later down the line.To be fair to them, past a certain point you'll likely see more people dying because of a poor economy then you will because of Corona.
