He isn’t a self insert?I got Rey vibes from him. Granted though he is more fleshed out than rey is, but you treating him like a self insert just make those vibes stronger.
Thought he was a cheap hybrid of luke and han. Which was frankly probably the point.
Has anyone actually read the EU? I have.
Claiming Jacen is a "hybrid of Luke and Han" just belies a lack of knowledge that makes discussion outright wasteful.
Your dislike isn't based on his character? But on ignorance?or maybe we just son't like him and view him as such.

You do realize he didn't intervene for Alema Rar? He wrote her off. And didn't make any active effort for her or Jacen.People disagreeing with your interpretation of the character does not make people "ignorant" or that they haven't read the source material. It just means they have a different opinion.
In my opinion, the entire fall of Jacen Solo was in many ways a repeat of the entire Dash Rendar debacle -- Luke is just *too damn forgiving* of Dark Siders, due to overgeneralizing from Vader's redemption.
I'll take a look at it. I need a decent shooter at the moment. Uh, is Fallen Order really good? I've heard mixed opinions.
Mixed opinions? It's like the Dark Souls of Star Wars games!

Tomb raider and dark souls has a sci fi babyIn my opinion, the best description of it is Star Wars meets Tomb Raider. The way you climb and move through the levels with a lot of puzzle solving is very Tomb Raider.
I still don't get how the top secret project that's supposed to turn the tide of the war A. Doesn't have mutiple vessels being built in several different locations and B. is only being guarded by what seems like a handful of capital ships and fighters instead of a small armada. Also why the heck are there are only 5 ships per Squadron(gameplay mechanics I know but still) when it should 12?Right, it is pretty awesome ship though
There are definitely more then 5. If you look at when you are engaging enemy formations you see there are more then just toue team out there.I still don't get how the top secret project that's supposed to turn the tide of the war A. I mean....If you play the game you notice the NR did not have their fleets over planets as they are searching for the Empire. They ,managed to deep strike the Capital and Mon Cala.Oh I know the ship was a prototype. What I don't get is why it wasn't assembled over a world like Sullust where the New Republic had major shipyards and a large fleet already there and thus could build mutiple hulls in a safe location.
Speaking of LOTF, whenever I get the time for it, I’ll have to do a LOTF Let’s Read in the SB vein.
As for Jacen Solo-he was a remarkable protagonist. Is he unlikable to some? Yes, but those that like Jacen are of a different nature.
Jacen isn’t a stereotypical protagonist. He’s not Anakin with his swashbuckling bravado, he’s contemplative, empathetic, and deeply concerned with his role in the universe and the force. While also being more than willing to fight defensively.
Jacen Solo is what a Jedi should be.
